~ The X Lexicon ~

The idea for this page came about as I was reading my fifth fanfic in as many days in which Alex Krycek's name was spelled K-R-Y-C-H-E-K. I was reminded of how many times I have seen other character/place names misspelled, and I decided I ought to DO something about it instead of sitting at my computer and grumbling. After all, these aren't things that a spell checker could catch, unless your word processing program was manufactured by the Lone Gunmen ;) So, here is the fruit of my labors; it's not complete at the moment, and includes some names that I have NEVER seen misspelled, but better safe than sorry. Pronunciations are included for hard-to-pronounce names, but I'm sure everyone knows how to say "Covarubiassssssssssssssssss", right? ;) Please note: definitions may contain spoilers for episodes up to season 5 and the Movie.

Aaronson, Nancy -- The first "zombie" -- victim of the bug-boss -- in "Folie a Deux".

Bellefleur, Oregon -- Location of abductions in "Pilot".

Berenbaum, Dr. Bambi -- Entomologist in "War of the Coprophages".

Berkowitz, Izzy -- Great Mutato cartoonist in "Post-Modern Prometheus".

Berube, Dr. -- Scientist in "Erlenmeyer Flask".

Betts, Leonard -- Cancerous mutant from the episode of the same name.

Bonsaint, Jack-- Police chief in "Chinga".

Bronschweig -- The scientist who was attacked by the alien in the Movie. Also appeared in "The Red and the Black".

Bruckman, Clyde -- Unfortunate insurance salesman; named for film director of the 30's.

Budahas, Lieutenant Colonel Robert -- Test pilot in "Deep Throat".

Byers, John Fitzgerald -- The "preppy" Lone Gunman. Formerly employed by the FCC.

Calderon, Dr. -- Emily Sim's doctor.

Chilmark, MA -- The Mulders' home town.

Colton, Special Agent Tom -- FBI agent in "Squeeze". Former classmate of Scully's. Coined the term "Mrs. Spooky."

Covarrubias, Marita -- (Co-va-ROO-bee-us) Special Representative to the Secretary General of the U.N. Mulder's bleached-blond informant; possibly romantically involved with Krycek.

Crikenson, Roky -- Abduction witness in "Jose Chung's From Outer Space".

Da Silva, Dr. Nancy -- Toxicologist in "Ice".

"Die Hand Die Verletzt" -- Title of 2X14; German phrase: "His is the hand that wounds."

"Erlenmeyer Flask, The" -- First-season finale.

Eurisko -- Company taken over by a computer in "Ghost in the Machine".

"Excelsius Dei" -- Episode 6X11; name of the convalescent home in the episode.

Fazekas, Michelle -- Guide in "Detour".

Fenig, Max -- Abductee/informant from "E.B.E.," "Synchrony," "Max".

Fowley, Diana -- Mulder's ex-partner, "Chickadee," etc.

Frohike, Melvin -- (Fro-hickey) The short, scruffy-looking Lone Gunman. Thinks Scully is "hot."

Fugazzi, Anna-- Emily Sim's birth mother of record.

Funsch, Ed -- Deranged gunman in "Blood".

Generoo, Michelle -- Mulder's contact at NASA in "Space".

"Gethsemane" -- Title of season 4 finale.

Great Sacandaga Lake -- Site of UFO crash in "Tempus Fugit".

Greene, Inspector Phoebe -- Mulder's ex-girlfirend/Scotland Yard agent.

Heuvelmans Lake -- Big Blue's home in "Quagmire".

Holvey, Charlie -- Possessed child in "The Calusari".

Hosteen, Albert -- Native American translator of the documents in "Anasazi". Helped save Mulder's life/notified Mrs. Scully of Dana's whereabouts in "The Blessing Way"/"Paper Clip".

Incanto, Virgil -- Fat-vampire in "2Shy".

Kilar, Kristen -- Vampire that Mulder bedded in "3".

"Kitsunegari" -- Episode 5X08; means "Fox hunt."

Kleinjan, Margi -- One of the telekinetic girls in "Syzygy".

Klemper, Victor -- One of the Nazi war criminals that worked on Operation Paper Clip.

Kritschgau -- (Kritch-gow) Informant who debunked all of Mulder's theories in "Gethsemane."

Krycek, Alex -- (Cry-check) The double agent assigned to be Mulder's partner in "Sleepless." Also known as Ratboy, Krycek now sports an artificial arm, thanks to some Russian scientists.

Kryder, Kevin -- Stigmatic boy in "Revelations".

Kurtzweil, Alvin -- Mulder's informant in the movie -- revealed the involvement of FEMA in the conspiracy.

Kyte, Lauren -- Secretary in "Shadows".

Lamana, Special Agent Jerry -- Agent who opened the Eurisko case in "Ghost in the Machine".

Langly, Ringo -- Long-haired Lone Gunman; looks like Garth from "Wayne's World."

Litchfield Experiment -- The program that produced the Eves.

L'Ively, Cecil -- Firebug in "Fire".

Matheson, Senator Richard -- Mulder's Capitol Hill contact.

Michaud, S.A.C. Darius -- The guy that headed the bomb search in the movie.

Modell, Robert Patrick -- A.K.A. "Pusher."

Modeski, Suzanne -- Blond, paranoid, claimed that Mulder was her ex-boyfriend ("Unusual Suspects").

Mulder, Special Agent Fox William -- Ye Gods, you need a definition of Mulder's character? Do you even watch the show? Why are you even *at* this page, to admire our razor-sharp wit?

Mulder, Teena -- Mrs. Mulder was named for Glen Morgan's ex-wife.

Nairn, Esther -- A.K.A. Invisigoth ("Kill Switch").

Nelligan, Amanda -- Mother of Eddie VanBlundht's fifth "monkey baby" in "Small Potatoes".

Nemman, Theresa -- Abductee in "Pilot"

Lake Okobogee -- Setting for "Conduit."

Ostelhoff, Scott -- DOD employee Mulder shot in "Redux". Using his ID, Mulder gained access to the Pentagon and the cure for Scully's cancer.

Pfaster, Donnie -- (Fas-ter) -- Necrophiliac in "Irresistible".

Pinck -- Pharmaceutical company in "F. Emasculata."

Pintero, Angie-- Bowling-alley owner in "Elegy".

Pollidori, Dr. Francis -- Frankenstein-esque mad scientist/creator of the Great Mutato in "Post Modern Prometheus".

Queequeg -- (Kwee-kweg) Scully's pet Pomeranian, whom she obtained in "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose." Eaten by Big Blue in "Quagmire."

Quonochontaug -- (Kwa--na-con-tog) Location of the Mulders' summer house.

Roche, John Lee -- Serial killer in "Paper Hearts".

Roush -- Pharmaceutical company; introduced into series canon in the "Gethsemane/Redux/Redux II" arc. Possibly named for USA Today critic Matt Roush -- with an assistant director named Maslin (As in New York Times critic Janet Maslin) and another a.d. named Peter Bart (Daily Variety's critic) in the season six premiere, this is likely… <g>

Ruskin Dam -- Site of Cassandra Spender's abduction in "Patient X".

Schizogeny -- Don't ask ME how to pronounce it… ask Chris Carter.

Scully, Special Agent Dana Katherine, M.D. -- See Mulder.

Skyland Mountain -- The place from which Scully was abducted.

Sim, Emily -- Scully's daughter.

Soames, Ray -- Comatose abductee in "Pilot".

Spender, Special Agent Jeffrey -- Fowley's partner. Replaced Mulder in the X files division. Cancer Man's son. Introduced in "Patient X" and "The Red and the Black".

Spender, Cassandra -- Jeff's mother, an abductee. She was abducted from Skyland Mountain in "Patient X" and was the title character of that episode.

Strughold -- Consortium member introduced in the movie -- spoke the famous, grammatically incorrect line "Then we will take away that with which he cannot live without." Also the name of the mining company in "Paper Clip."

Tooms, Eugene Victor -- Liver-eating monster from "Squeeze" and "Tooms".

Trepkos, Daniel -- Missing scientist in "Firewalker".

VanBlundht, Eddie -- (Van-Blunt) The shape-shifting janitor who fathered babies with tails.

"War of the Coprophages" -- Season 4 episode about roaches.

West Tisbury, MA -- Bill Mulder's place of residence.

Wilczek, Thomas -- Inventor of the artificial intelligence in "Ghost in the Machine".

Yappi, The Stupendous -- Psychic from "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose."

Zama, Dr. Shiro -- Japanese doctor suspected of performing the abduction experiments on Scully.

Zuckerman, Dr. -- Scully's doctor in "Redux II".
