3 hours later

(knock on the door)

Alexis: I’ve got it.

(opens the door)

Alexis: Come in.

(Taggert and Garcia enter)

(Ned comes down the stairs with Michael in his arms)

Ned: Sorry. Michael won’t stop crying.

(Ned places Michael in a swing and walks over to Alexis)

Ned: Please have a seat.

(Everyone sits down)

Taggert: We would like one of you to wear a wire tonight.

(Alexis gets up off the sofa)

Alexis: (panic voice) I cannot wear a wire. Helena will kill me if she catches me. I will not wear it.

Taggert: (interrupting) Mrs. Ashton we can use it if you decide to press charges again Helena.

(Alexis sits back down next to Ned)

Ned: I will wear the wire.

(Alexis looks at Ned with fear in her eyes)

Alexis: (hands on Ned’s face) I will not let you do that. This is my problem not yours.

Ned: I am volunteering to do this.

(Alexis stands up and starts pacing)

Alexis: (yelling) No. You cannot do this. What happens if Helena catches you and kills you.

Garcia: (interjects) I think we will leave, you need to talk this over. Call us.

(Taggert and Garcia show themselves out)

Alexis: I will not let you do this, Ned. I know you love me.

Ned: I have a mind of my own Alexis. I will do it if I want.

Alexis: I don’t want you to end up dead. Your grandfather will blame me. Your children need you.

(Alexis is still pacing around)

Ned: Lexie, will you sit down.

(Ned grabs Alexis’ hand and pulls her down onto the couch next to him)

Ned: Stop it, Lexie. I love you. I want to help you.

(Ned leans closer to Alexis and pushes her back against the couch; Ned grabs her arms and pins them above her head)

Alexis: Oh no!! (starts to squirm around)

Ned: Would you stay still?

Alexis: (giggling) No.

Ned: I love you.

(Ned kisses Alexis; she knows there is nothing to do so she gives in to Ned; her arms wrap around Ned’s neck)

Alexis: Ned do what you want.

(Ned looks at her and starts to unbutton her blouse)

Alexis: Ned, that is not what I meant.

(Ned stops)

Ned: Alexis, hand me the phone.

(Alexis hands Ned the phone)

(Ned calls Detective Taggert)

Ned: Detective Taggert…Hello this Ned Ashton…I will wear the wire. ..You will be over at 4…Ok…Bye.

(Ned hangs up the phone)

Ned: (looking at Alexis; smiling) Now where were we?

(Ned starts to kiss Alexis again; he stops kissing her and he gets up)

(Ned walks over to the table and grabs a baby monitor and turns it on)

(Ned walks back other to Alexis and picks her up; he grabs the other baby monitor)

(Ned carries Alexis upstairs)

Bedroom

(Ned throws Alexis on the bed; puts the monitor down on the night stand; and jumps onto the bed next to her)

(Ned looks at her; smiling)

Alexis: (noticing Ned’s smile) What??

Ned: Nothing.

(Ned grabs Alexis and rolls on top of her)

Alexis: Ned…

(Ned interrupts her with a long, passionate kiss)

(Alexis wraps her arms around Ned)

(Ned starts to unbuttons her blouse and this time she lets him; Alexis starts to unbutton his shirt; they throw them on the floor)

(Ned starts to kiss her neck)

Alexis: Ned.

(Ned stops kissing her neck and looks at her)

Ned: Would you stop talking for once?

(Ned kisses Alexis)

(Ned stands up and picks Alexis up for a minute; with one hand he pulls the sheets down and places Alexis back)

Ned: There.

(Alexis starts to kiss Ned)

(they continue their love making until Alexis fall asleep)

(Ned grabs a robe and goes downstairs to get Michael)

(Ned comes back upstairs with Michael and lies down next to Alexis)

(Ned also falls asleep)

Later on…..

(doorbell rings)

(Neither Ned or Alexis hears it but Michael starts crying (still in Ned’s arms))

Alexis: (groggy) What’s wrong Michael?

(doorbell rings again)

(Alexis looks at the clock)

Alexis: Ned wake up now!!! It’s four o’clock.

(Alexis kisses Ned)

Alexis: Wake up honey.

(Ned wakes up)

Ned: What’s wrong?

(Alexis hurrying to find her clothes which are on the floor)

Alexis: The doorbell is ringing, it’s four and that is probably Detective Garcia and Detective Taggert.

(Ned grabs his clothes and starts to get dress as Alexis is running downstairs)

Alexis: (yells) Coming.

(Alexis opens the door; her hair is a mess)

Alexis: Sorry about that. Come in.

(Ned comes downstairs)

(Ned is already wired)

Taggert: Mr. Ashton we will be able to hear everything that is going on. Don’t worry.

Ned: (looks at Alexis) We’ll be fine.

Garcia: We’ll be leaving now. We’ll wait on the dock for you.

(Taggert and Garcia leave the Gatehouse)

(Alexis grabs a glass which is on the table; and she turns to Ned)

Alexis: (throws the glass at the wall; yelling) I hate Helena Cassadine!!! I wish someone would just kill her!! I would even do it.

(The glass breaks when it hits the wall)

Ned: Come here Alexis.

(Alexis walks over to Ned)

Alexis: What?

(Ned holds Alexis)

Ned: (stroking her hair) It will be fine. We will get Brittany back and Helena will be prosecuted.

(Ned grabs Alexis’ hand and they leave; bringing Michael to the Q's)

Q's mansion

4:45 PM

(knock on the door)

Emily: I've got it.

(Emily opens the door)

Emily: Hello Ned, Alexis. Hey Michael. (she starts to tickle him) Can you come in?

(Ned hands Michael to Emily)

Ned: No, we are in a rush.

Alexis: Here is his diaper bag. Everything you need is in here.

(She hands Emily the diaper bag).

(Monica comes to the door)

Monica: Hello. Care to come in?

Ned: Sorry. We're just about to leave. We have to be there at 5.

(Ned and Alexis start to leave and Michael starts crying)

Alexis: (to Ned) I don't want to leave him.

Ned: It will be all right. I know it is hard for you to leave him.

(Michael cries really loud)

Alexis: (to Michael) Mommy, will be back soon.

(Ned and Alexis leave before they decide not to go)

The Docks

(When Alexis and Ned show up at the docks Detective Taggert and Garcia are their waiting)

Taggert: This has to be short because we don't want you to be late.

Garcia: We will be able to hear everything, if anything goes wrong we will come and rescue you.

(Taggert sees Alexis' worry face)

Taggert: Don't worry Mrs. Ashton.

Garcia: You better go, it's getting late.

(Ned and Alexis leave)
