CEYLON

 

Located in the heart of the Triangle an alien starbase called Ceylon offered sanctuary

to all those seeking a safe port..

 

The Massive structure offered hundreds of habitats and used archaic forms of technology to

maintain power to all its decks.

 

Each deck was very much like a city state with its own markets and residential areas.

 

Though each deck offered its inhabitants a sense of autonomy the laws of Ceylon were set by The

Augran Collective a race of insect like beings who created the base and maintained

its governance.

 

The collective nearly died out and Ceylon nearly fell to an armada of Orion Syndicate

Pirate ships..

Luckily the Federation intervened and the station was turned over to Starfleet and a massive

refit to re build the station begun.. It took years to complete.

 

Without Turbo elevators the inhabitants of Ceylon relied on multi lane express ways

where there was no set speed limit.. (These exist on the station today except they now

connect the remote parts of the station to newly installed banks of turbo elevators)
