In "Future Tense," if Puck had truly wanted the Phoenix Gate he would have gotten it, but he didn't get it did he? What if Puck created the whole "Future Tense" façade to protect his own interests. Think, if Demona could get her hands on the Gate she would go back in time and not allow anything to happen to the clan at Wyvern so the remaining gargoyles would not have ever turned to stone and met Xanatos in the future, so Xanatos would never have gotten rich because Goliath would have never met Xanatos in the first place to later on travel back in time and inadverdently help Xanatos gain ancient coins worth 20 grand. If Xanatos would have never gotten rich then he would have never met and hired Owen Burnett. Then the Puck's fun would be ruined, so Puck purposely lost his patience with Goliath as "Elisa Maza" so Goliath would in turn throw the Gate into the time-stream and get rid of any posibility of ruining the Puck's fun or his plans for staying with "you mortals a while longer," but of course......... I could just be reading into something that's not there."
