Miguel joined Menudo in 1980, replacing Oscar Melendez. His songs, "Cuanda Pasara"
and "A Volar" were and still are very popular. Miguel enjoyed motorcycles,
football, and math. When Migue left the group in 1983, giving his spot to Roy
Rosello, he moved to LA and signed a contract with the Willis Morris Agency.
He was invited to participate in various programs, including one in the NY
governer's mansion. But sadly, due to disagreements with his producers, he
ended his solo career. Even though he was retired from Showbiz until asked to
join the Reencuentro, Migue still participated in 2 musical groups- one
performing jazz, the other modern rock. Besides music, he likes boxing and
cycling, and worked as a veterinary assistant.
Before the Reencuentro, Migue concentrated on his Master's Degree in music and perfecting his drum playing. He studied psychology in Gainsville, FL, which he says was to help him understand himself.
He is the only Reencuentro
member who has not been married. His children are Tolula and Superfly-his
pets!
