Gone But Not Forgotten…

Previously on Gone But Not Forgotten:

Maxie squealed with delight. "Oh Master. You've never done this to me in
person before. Just in the chat room online."

"Anything else I can get you stranger?" The bartender asked as he placed
Jimmy's drink on the bar.

"Yeah." Jimmy said. "Another drink for the Lady. On me."

"I was about to ask you if Nikolai is my son." Nikolas replied.

And now…
Chapter 3 "Sweet Child Of Mine"

Jordan stood from her chair and crossed to the window. She looked out onto Port
Charles. It was a pretty town, but nothing like LA. Her gaze drifted to the
stars that filled the sky. "Mama, what do I do?" Jordan thought. "Do I tell him
the truth or do I lie?" Her mother had always been the one she turned to for
advice. It was because of this bond that she had been able to talk to her
mother the day of the car accident that took her parents from her.

One bright star started blinking up in the sky. Jordan knew what she had to do.
She turned back to Nikolas and wrapped her robe tighter around her. "Yes
Nikolas. Nikolai is your son."

Nikolas took a few deep breaths and tried to process this information. "I'm a
father." He mumbled. "I have a son." He looked up at Jordan. "How could you
keep this from me?"

"What?" Jordan walked back to the couch and knelt in front of Nikolas. "Have
you forgotten how things were in Paris, Nik? We didn't tell each other a lot of
things. I didn't even know your last name until Nikolai was two and that was
because I saw you on the cover of a magazine naming you the most eligible
bachelor in the world. What was I supposed to do? Show up on your doorstep the
next day and say 'Hi, remember me, the mother of your illegitimate child?' I
don't think so. I've busted my ass these past five years trying to make Nikolai
as happy as any little boy can be. And that's not easy when he comes and asks
me who his father is."

"Does he even know about me?" Nikolas asked.

"Yes." Jordan replied. "But not by name. I've showed him the picture that was
taken of us by the Eiffel tower. He knows you as Daddy. Not Nikolas
Cassadine."

"He recognized me in the airport."

Jordan nodded. "Yes, he did. He asked me about you when we got settled here.
He asked why you look so much like his father."

"What did you tell him?" Nikolas stared deep into Jordan's eyes. His head was
spinning from the events that had happened.

"I dodged the question." Jordan looked down, ashamed. "It's the first time
I've ever dodged one of his questions, but I didn't know how to answer him. I
didn't know what I was going to tell you, let alone what I should tell him."

"Jordan, marry me."

Jordan's head flew up and her mouth hung open. "What? Marry you? You can't be
serious."

Nikolas nodded. "I am. Marry me. Nikolai should have his mother and father
together."

Jordan shook her head. "No. Nikolas, I won't be like all those couples out
there that marry for the sake of the children. It's not right. It always does
more damage than good. If I ever marry, it will be because I love the man I'm
marrying. And I'll know he'll be good for Nikolai."

"But I do love you." Nikolas slid off the couch and knelt on the floor in front
of Jordan. "I've always loved you. I've thought of you day and night for the
last six years. And I will be good for Nikolai. I know I will." Nikolas took
Jordan's hands in his. "Please Jordan."

"No." Jordan felt tears begin to run down her cheeks. "Nikolas, it's been too
long. We don't know each other anymore. We hardly knew each other to begin
with. It just wouldn't be good for Nikolai."

"I want to know my son, Jordan. You've kept him from me for the past five
years." Nikolas felt tears come to his eyes. "Don't take him away from me
now."

Maxie couldn't stop shaking. She was so cold. "How could he have done this?"
She thought. "I trusted him. I let him in our house. I gave him a key. How
could I be so stupid?"

Tears came to her once again. She sobbed and sobbed. "I have to get out of
here. What if he went after Georgie or Jacob."

"Georgie!!" Maxie yelled. "Georgie, please come here."

In a few moments Maxie's bedroom door opened and Georgie came in. "What are you
doing Maxie?" Georgie was shocked at what she saw. Her sister's arms and legs
were tied to the corners of her bed.

"Just help me." Maxie pleaded. "And please shut the window."

Georgie ran over to the window and shut it. Then she turned on the bedside
table lamp. She gasped when she saw her sister was covered in blood. "Maxie,
you're bleeding."

"I know Georgie." Maxie replied. "Undo these handcuffs, will you?"

Georgie examined the handcuffs. "Maxie, these aren't like Dad's trick
handcuffs. Can't you get out of them like Dad taught us?"

Maxie shook her head. "They're too tight."

"I'll go call Dad." Georgie ran off before Maxie could protest.

"Oh am I in for it now." Maxie started to cry again, knowing what kind of
trouble she was about to get into.

"How did it go with your Dad?" Lizzie asked Lucky when he got home.

"Not well." Lucky sat on the edge of the bed and pulled his shoes off. "He's
still holding a lot in. He doesn't want to admit just how much he's been
hurting since he lost Mom. And with her marrying Stefan and taking Lulu to
Spoon Island, I'm even more worried about him."

Lizzie slid down to the end of the bed, just behind Lucky. She wrapped her arms
around him. "Maybe we should try and set your dad up with someone."

"Like a blind date?" Lucky laughed. "I don't think that would work Babe. Mom
was the only woman Dad has ever truly loved. You can't just replace that."

"I know." Lizzie replied. "I'm not saying try and replace your mother. I'm
just saying get Luke to have some fun again. Help him see that life does go on.
And that he's still alive, even if his marriage is dead."

Lucky thought for a moment. "Your right. And I know just the woman that could
help pull it off."

Mike walked over to the end of the bar where Jimmy and the woman sat laughing
and drinking. "I'm sorry you two, but we're about to close. You don't have to
go home, but you can't stay here."

"Awe, Mike," the woman said. "Not even a little longer. For me??" She looked
up at Mike with puppy dog eyes.

Mike couldn't help but smile. This is the happiest he'd seen her in a long
time. Even if part of it was because she was half crocked. "Sorry Emily. You
know it won't happen."

"Oh phooey." Emily slid from her barstool, grabbing Jimmy's arm to steady
herself. "Let's get out of here, Jimmy."

"Sounds good, Em." Jimmy got off his barstool. "One problem though." Jimmy
pointed toward Mike. "He got our keys."

"There's a taxi waiting outside to take you both where ever you need to go."
Mike stated.

"Thanks Mike." They both said and walked out.

"Where you headed pretty lady?" Jimmy asked as he pulled Emily close to him.

"Where ever you are Darlin'." Emily replied, then got serious. "I don't want to
be alone, Jimmy."

"You don't have to be, Em." Jimmy stared into her eyes for a moment, then
turned to the driver. "Port Charles Hotel, please."
