“What about Faison?” Robin asked. “Is he still alive? And what about the WSB?
Didn’t they try and help you?”

Jordan tried not to laugh at this strange woman. “Yes, actually. I’ve been
modeling since I was a teenager.”
“Perfect.” Lucy cried. "Jax Cosmetics is currently looking for a new model to
be the face of Jax. I think you would be perfect for the job.”

“Well, let’s not worry about that now. We’ll go find a house tomorrow and start
packing our belongings.”
Carly smiled. “A big house with a back yard for Alexander and Michael to play.
I’m sure Mom will help us look, if you want me to ask.”

Robin nodded her head. “Please tell me Uncle Mac. Why is Maxie in the
hospital?”

Chapter 10 “Surprises”
Felicia and Frisco almost jumped out of their seats as Heather Richards entered
the room. “Doctor, how is my daughter?”
Heather smiled at Felicia and Frisco, trying to somewhat comfort them. “She’s
going to be fine. Maxie is a strong girl. She lost a lot of blood, but we’ve
taken necessary precautions and she’s sleeping right now. Most of the cuts were
not very deep, which is good. I’ve already contacted Dr. Smith in Plastic
Surgery about the cuts she received. He will be by tomorrow to take a look at
Maxie.”
Felicia sighed with relief and sank down onto the couch. “Thank god.”
Heather took a deep breath, not wanting to bring up the next subject, but she
knew she had to. “There is one thing I need to discuss with you both though.
We found traces of semen when examining Maxie. Is she sexually active?”
Felicia shook her head. “I don’t believe so. Maxie and I have had a very open
relationship where sex is concerned. I made sure she felt she could come to me
when she felt she was ready for sex so we could get her on birth control.”
Heather nodded her head, taking this into consideration. “Then it looks like we
may have a bit of a problem.”
“What’s that doctor?” Frisco asked.
“Maxie’s two months pregnant.”

Robert and Anna sat on the bed, hoping Robin and Mac didn’t come in. “It’s
working so far.” Robert said in a hushed voice.
“Yeah, but for how long?” Anna whispered back. “They’re bound to notice we’re
not Robert and Anna sooner or later. What if they start asking us questions we
don’t know the answers to?”
“Then we blame it on the amnesia.” Robert replied. “It will work. It has to.
We can’t afford for this not to work. If we fail, Jessica will die.

Nikolas, Jordan, Nikolai, Jimmy, Emily and Shawna sat in the Cassadine stretch
limousine. Nikolas had suggested they all have dinner together at Wyndemere.
Nikolas had an ulterior motive to this. He wanted his mother and father to meet
Jordan and Nikolai, but he thought Jordan might accept this better if Jimmy,
Shawna and Emily were there too. When he called home to inform Mrs. Landsbury,
Laura had decided to make it a small, informal dinner party and invited Lucky,
Lizzie and the baby too.
“Thank you for agreeing to come.” Nikolas whispered to Jordan. His pulse began
to race as he brushed against her arm.
Jordan turned her head to look at Nikolas and smiled. “Why wouldn’t I come?
We’re just having dinner with your family, my brother and sister and Emily.”
Nikolas suddenly looked over at Emily. He had just realized that his mother had
invited Lucky and Lizzie to have dinner with them too. “Oh Damn.” He muttered.
“What is it?” Jordan asked.
“Emily used to date my brother.” Nikolas whispered, thankful that there was
enough conversation going on so no one else would hear. “She had a pretty rough
time when Lucky married Emily. I’m worried that seeing him tonight with Lizzie
will bring back the hurt for her.”
Jordan bit her lip, trying to think of something she could do to help. “Let me
talk to Jimmy for a moment.” Jordan said. She carefully slid over by Jimmy and
Emily for a moment. “Hey you two. Emily, would you mind if I talked to my
brother for a moment?”
Emily smiled at Jordan. “Not a problem.” She and Jordan quickly changed places
and Emily started talking with Nikolas.
“What’s up Jordy?” Jimmy asked.
“God I still hate when you call me that.” Jordan said, then smiled. “I need a
favor from you.”
“What is it?” Jimmy asked.
“When the limo arrives at Nik’s, suggest that you and Emily go have dinner
somewhere alone.” Jordan replied.
Jimmy gave his sister a questioning look. “Why would I do that?”
Jordan looked back over at Nikolas and Emily, making sure they weren’t
listening. “I don’t feel I should be the one to tell you this, but I think it
may be for your and Emily’s own good. Emily used to date Nikolas’ brother. I
guess she had a pretty rough time of it when they broke up and he married
someone else. I don’t think it would be a good scene for her to be there
tonight. Nikolas’ mother invited his brother and sister-in-law to dinner
tonight. I know you care for Emily, so I thought you might want to try and save
her from this bit of heartache.”
Jimmy nodded his head. “Consider it done.”

“I’m so glad Graciela is watching Alexander and Michael.” Carly said as she
cuddled with her husband. They had just spent the last couple hours making love.
“So am I.” Jason agreed. Jason heard Carly sigh and made her look up at him.
“What’s the matter Caroline? You can’t tell me your ready for round 3?”
Carly giggled. “No. I definitely need a break. I was just thinking of how
this could be one of our last nights here. We have a lot of memories here
Jason. Michael and Alexander have spent their whole lives here. We fell in
love here.”
“I know Baby.” Jason kissed Carly’s forehead and held her close. “But think of
all the wonderful memories yet to come in our new house. This never really was
ours Caroline. We made a life and a home here, yes. But it was always Sonny’s.
We’ll find the perfect house for us and it will be ours.”
“Ours.” Carly said to herself. “I like the sound of that.”

Karen Scanlon looked down at the plate of food before her and cringed. “This
hospital food gets worse and worse.” She said to Eve Baldwin, who was sitting
next to her.
“I know what you mean.” Eve poked a fork at what was supposed to be mashed
potatoes. “Is this mashed potatoes or potato soup?”
Karen pushed the tray away from here. “I wouldn’t feed this stuff to my dogs!”
“How are the puppies doing?” Eve asked.
“Great.” Karen replied. “The boys just love the puppies. They’re always
romping around the house with them. I can’t figure out who’s growing faster
though, my boys or the puppies.”
Karen looked up then and saw Joe and Scotty walk into the cafeteria, each of
them carrying a child. “There are my boys.” Karen got up and rushed across the
room. “What are you guys doing here?” She took the child from Scotty’s arms.
Joe smiled and kissed his wife. “The boys and I thought we’d surprise you by
joining you for dinner. I ran into Scott on the way in.”
Karen looked skeptical for a moment. “Tell me you don’t expect us to eat the
food here.”
Joe turned around, revealing a backpack hanging over each of his shoulders.
“One of these has enough food for you, me, the boys and Scott and Eve, thanks to
mom.”
“God, I love you.” Karen said and kissed her husband again.
