Chapter 28: The End of Halloween Night
Miranda and Quinn entered The Outback after leaving the masquerade party at the
Jenkins. Quinn didn't want to go to Wyndemere because he was worried Helena
might already have people expecting them there and his place for the same
reasons.
Miranda: Do you think Stefan was able to get Helena?
Quinn: I'm not sure. I'll try to get a hold of him later, let's just get a
table.
Quinn had already gotten a table when Miranda looked across the room the see
Jerry with Venus.
Miranda: Maybe we should go someplace else.
Quinn saw Jerry.
Quinn: Jax's brother?
Miranda: Yes, that's his brother.
Quinn: Let's just stay here, he looks to busy with his guest to bother with us.
Miranda: Whatever you say.
Quinn and Miranda sat down.
Jerry laughed after Venus had told him about how Jax and her ended up on that
atoll.
Jerry: Would you like to dance?
V: Dance? No, I'd rather not.
Jerry: Oh come on, Venus.
V: I told you never to call me that.
Jerry: Dance with me and I won't.
V: You can't get everything by blackmailing. Just be nice and accept it when
people say no.
Jerry: Oh but you should know this by now…
V: Right, you don't take no for an answer, but your gonna have to this time.
Jerry: Why not?
V: I'm not a very good dancer.

V: Oh all right already.

V feels an intense need to kiss him, but she ignores it.
V: I think I'll get a drink.
Jerry watched her walk away, puzzled.
Miranda: Yep, your charm sure worked on her.
Jerry turned around to see Miranda standing there.
Jerry: Ah, Miranda, fancy seeing you here.
Miranda: Weren't you just at the party?
Jerry: I felt like leaving.
Miranda: Oh right, I guess it was your boredom of big upper-class parties.
Jerry: And what was your excuse, Miranda? Oh, wait, how dumb of me, your name's
Natasha now, right?
Miranda: Did Jax tell you or did your overachieving trooper figure it out?
Jerry: Jax and her name is V.
Miranda: V? What's her mother's name? Z?
Jerry: Very funny Miranda.
A man dressed in black wearing a black hat and thick glasses entered the Outback
and saw Jerry and Miranda together. He looked at the picture and made sure it
was the guy he was looking for.

Stefan could not find his mother anywhere. Just then he saw a woman walking
down the call in front of him. Unfortunately, it was a woman with brown hair,
blue eyes with a scarf on. He went past her and Helena took off. She reached
the stairs, which went to the back of the mansion and left her scarf on the
floor. When she got out of the mansion, she took out her contacts and took off
her wig.

Lizzie was getting hot in her Scream costume and needed a drink. She kept
looking over at Lucky, wishing he would ask her to dance. She went up to the
punch bowl where Henry and Sly Eckert were chatting.
Sly: Lizzie, why aren't you dancing?
Lizzie: I'm waiting to be asked.
Sly: Well, you want to dance?
Henry: Sorry, Sly, but she's waiting for Luckster to ask.
Lizzie: Henry!
Henry: What?
Sly: Well, if you don't want to…
Lizzie: No, I'd love to.
Sly: Okay.
Lizzie and Sly went dancing and Henry was standing there alone. #1 Crush by
Garbage started playing.

Karen and Gina bumped into each other at the Recovery Room.
Karen: Hey Gina.
Gina had pigtails and was wearing a blue dress.
Gina: Hey Karen.
Karen had on a cat costume.
Karen: What are you supposed to be?
Gina: Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I know, dumb costume, but it was the best
I could do last minute.
Karen: Oh no, it looks good.
Gina: Where's Jagger?
Karen: Well he should be here soon- AH!
Karen jumped when Jagger, dressed up like Freddy Kreuger, came up behind her and
put his cold, knifed hand on her shoulder.
Karen: Jagger, don't ever do that again.
Jagger: *laughing* Sorry honey. Hey Gina, didn't expect to see you here.
Gina: Well, I'm meeting some friends here.
Jagger: *smiling* Oh, is Nik one of them?
Gina: *rolls eyes* No.
Karen: Why would Nik be here, he isn't even old enough…
Looks at Jagger then Gina and it hits her.
Karen: Oh, you like Nikolas?
Gina: Only as a friend!
Jagger: So she says.
Gina: I'm going to see if I can find anyone. Later Karen, bye butt-head.
Gina left and Karen laughed.
Jagger: Oh so you think that's funny?
Karen: Oh sorry honey. *Kisses him* Didn’t mean to laugh.
Jagger: Well… it's okay, as long as you give me another kiss.
Karen kisses him again. They turn to go to the bar but Joe and Grace are
already there. She walks up anyway so Jagger doesn't get suspicious but she
prays to God that it's just a guy who looks like Joe… maybe Frank in a Joe
costume. They got up there and sat at the bar. Karen glanced at Joe once, who
was wearing his scrubs instead of an actual costume.
Joe: Hey Karen.
Jagger looks over at him and Karen shrinks a little.
Joe: You must be Jagger.
Jagger: Yes, and you would be?
Karen: Oh, honey, this is my friend Joe Scanlon. Joe, Jagger.
Joe: Nice to meet you.
Jagger: Nice to meet you too.
Karen: I have to go to the bathroom, excuse me.
Karen dashes off from the bar and hides in the ladies room.
Karen: This is going to be one hell of a long night.

Before Jerry and Miranda could continue arguing, V came back from the counter.
V: Jerry, it's getting late, I'm going to go to my apartment now.
Jerry: Oh…
V: Maybe we could get together sometime.
Jerry: Sure, sure, of course.
V: Well… (V kisses him on the cheek) Bye.
V took off and Miranda stepped foreword.
Miranda: Boy, she just shot your right down.
Jerry: Just go back to hanging out with the old man.
Jerry left Miranda alone, standing there a little stunned that he didn't want to
continue arguing. Jerry went through the exit, followed by the man with the
glasses.
Man: Soon, Mr. Jacks. I will have you right where I want you.

Miranda sat back down with Quinn, who is hanging up his flip phone.
Miranda: Who was that?
Quinn: It was Stefan. He couldn't find Helena.
Miranda: Great, just perfect.
Quinn: Natasha, security around here will be tightened. You must walk around
with bodyguards at all time for now on.
Miranda: What?
Quinn: Natasha, Helena's in town. Everything has gotten more dangerous then
ever.
Miranda had a worried look on her face.

When Karen came out, Joe was gone. Jagger walked up to her.
Jagger: Is anything wrong?
Karen: No, why?
Jagger: Well you were in there for an awfully long time.
Karen: No I'm fine. What happened to Joe?
Jagger: He was beeped. *laughs* Good thing for him he was already in uniform.
Karen: Oh… *relieved* that's too bad.
Jagger: Your friend seems like a pretty nice guy. Maybe we could do something
together sometime.
Karen: No, I don't think he'd really be willing to. Let's just dance.
Jagger: Whatever you say, kitty.
Karen: Hey, don't make fun of my costume, Freddy.
They both smiled as the danced to How Bizarre.
