Chapter 29: Turkey Day
Joe and Frank were in the Recovery Room, having a few drinks after Joe finally
got off surgical rotation for the day.
Frank: Joe, what is it with you and Karen?
Joe: What do you mean?
Frank: Well, for the past two months, she's seemed a little high strung whenever
she's around you. Did you two have a fight or something?
Joe: No, just a little disagreement.
Frank: Joe…
Joe: We made love.
Frank looked at his brother in complete shock.
Frank: You did what?
Joe: We made love.
Frank: Are you nuts!? She's a married woman and your having an affair with her?
Joe: Technically, we're not having an affair. She doesn't want to go anywhere
near me now.
Karen just entered the Recovery Room and saw Joe and Frank sitting at the bar.
She had been avoiding him more ever since he and Jagger met on Halloween. Karen
decided it was time to talk. She went up to them, but couldn't help but hear
their conversation.
Joe: She loves me as much as I love her, I know it, if only I could get her to
admit it.
Frank: And break up a marriage?
Joe: How can I break something that's already broken?
Karen: Excuse me!
Joe and Frank turn around in their stood to see Karen standing right there.
Frank: Karen, uh…
Karen: Joe Scanlon, who the hell do you think you are? Jagger is my husband and
it's going to stay that way and there's nothing you or anyone else can do about
it. Got it?
Joe: Karen, I…
Karen: Stop it! If you say some stupid line about how I love you, I'll smack
you right here and now. I am having Thanksgiving dinner at the Lighthouse,
don't you dare show your face anywhere around there.
Just like that, Karen stormed out of the Recovery room, leaving Frank and Joe
speechless.

Henry and Lizzie were at Kelly's waiting on tables. After dropping off their
orders, Lizzie and Henry meet at the counter.
Henry: I can't believe she's having us work on Thanksgiving.
Lizzie: Well someone has to. Besides, I'd kind of like not to go home.
Henry: Yeah, I know about you, but what about me? I could be at Luke's right
now feasting on a big, juicy turkey right now with my mom, uncle and Sonny.
Lizzie: It's not like you won't be able to go still, you'll just be a little
late.
Henry: Right.
Ruby comes out behind him.
Ruby: I'm not paying you to stand around talking.
Henry: Right, Ruby.
Henry goes back to work, leaving Ruby staring at Lizzie.
Lizzie: I'm on a break.
Ruby: Well better get off it soon, or it will be the last one you have.
Ruby left Lizzie alone to see a nice, friendly face at the counter.
Lizzie: Hey Sly.
Sly: Hey Lizzie, I didn't know you worked here.
Lizzie: I've been working here for months. I haven't seen you for quite awhile.
Sly: Yeah, not since the party at Emily's. Hey, Lizzie, I was wondering if you
wanted to go out sometime.
Lizzie looks at Sly, unsure what to say.
Lizzie: Um… Sly, I'm flattered but… I'm afraid I'll have to say no.
Sly looks a little disappointed.
Sly: Okay, just wondering. Well, could I have a turkey sandwich?
Lizzie: Okay.
Lizzie gets one prepared and then comes back with it.
Lizzie: That'll be $3.92.
Sly paid her the money and she watched as he left. That was one of the most
awkward moments of her life.

Henry picked up this couple's order and then saw two people enter Kelly's he
never would have expected.
Tony: So, Carly. Where do you want to sit?
Carly stares at Henry who is starting back.
Tony: Carly?
Carly: *looks to Tony* Uh, yeah, let's just sit here.
Henry went back to the counter where Lizzie was picking up her tray for Table 5.
Lizzie sets the tray on the counter, where Henry meets her.
Henry: Today is going to be a long day.
Henry went into the kitchen and Lizzie was confused.

Sonny and Brenda had lived in their house for three weeks. Brenda was sitting
on her couch which she knew she wanted the minute she saw it, not changing it
once in some annoying sequence (hint, hint) going over L&B work.
Brenda: Honey, when are you meeting your family at Luke's again?
Sonny kinda laughed at what Brenda said. Family? It had only been a couple of
months since he met Sally and Henry and already they were his family members.
Sonny: We're going to be meeting Sally there at 7:00, Henry maybe a little late,
though. He's doing overtime at Kelly's.
Brenda: Oh, I hope he's not too late.
Sonny: I doubt he will. Where were you earlier?
Brenda got a guilty look on her face.
Brenda: Oh, no place special.
Sonny: Okay, just wondering. Listen honey, I have to go out and take care of
something. I'll be back in time for dinner.
Brenda: Okay.
Sonny leaned down and kissed Brenda on the lips. He then got his coat.
Sonny: Bye Brenda.
Brenda: Bye.
Sonny closed the door and Brenda got on her feet and rushed to the bathroom. She
pulled out a box out of the bottom drawer, on it in bold letters was "Home
Pregnancy Test".
Brenda took a deep breath as she started going over the directions.

Bobbie entered the limo after Stefan and they rode away from the airport to the
hotel.
Bobbie: So, we're finally here.
Stefan: I setup a meeting in two days to have this matter taken care of.
Bobbie: Two days?
Stefan: Yes.
Bobbie: Couldn't you have found a better time to come here than Thanksgiving?
Stefan: I am sorry to say, Barbara, this was the only day we could make it.
Bobbie: I hope Lucas is doing okay.
Stefan: Is Lucas staying with Tony?
Bobbie: No, something strange is going on with Tony and Carly at the moment and
Tony thought it might be best if he stay with Luke for the next two days.
Stefan looked out the window for a second as he thought about it. Tony and
Carly having problems?

Stefan was in his office at Wyndemere on the phone.
Stefan: Could you please tell me the nature of Mr. Spencer's visit? … Virginia
Benson? … I want you to give me all the information you have on Virginia and
this daughter of hers. Thank you.

Stefan: Strange? Strange how?
Bobbie: Well, I guess Tony and the demon spawn are having problems now.
Stefan: Demon spawn? A little harsh, don't you think?
Bobbie: Maybe a little, I just can't stand that little sociopath.

Stefan took the fax paper and looked more closely. It was her, Carly Roberts.
She was Caroline Benson, she was the one Bobbie gave up for adoption. He set
the paper down and realized it was time to act fast. He had to use this to his
advantage.

Stefan: How did your brother react to knowing a Cassadine was staying with him
all this time?
Bobbie: I didn't tell him about the non-divorce. I didn't want him to get over
hysterical for no reason.
Stefan: Here's the hotel.
The driver pulled into the parking lot of the San Dominica Hotel.
