Chapter 56: Before It's Over…
Jerry sat at the Outback bar and looked at his watch. He was wondering what was
taking V. so long. Usually she was more punctual.
Bartender: Waiting for V?
Jerry looked at the bartender, whose name he never did quite catch.
Jerry: Right. She seems to be taking longer then usual…
Bartender: It's a woman thing, I'm guessing…
Jerry: Uh… yeah, sure.
Jerry wasn't very interested in talking with him. He looked at his watch again.
What could be taking her so long?

Carly stood there at her door, wondering what A.J. wanted. He wasn't really
saying anything.
Carly: Um… Would you like to come in?
A.J.: Uh… yeah. I would like to talk to you… *looks at Jason* Privately.
Carly looks at Jason.
Jason: It's okay. Call me if you need me.
Carly: I will.
Jason gets up to go and she hugs him.
Carly: Thanks for everything.
A.J. looked away, not wanting to witness this. Jason says his good byes and
leaves A.J. and Carly alone.
Carly: So… would you like to sit?
A.J.: Uh, no, that's okay… uh, look, I just wanted to tell you that if you need
anything, just let me know and I'd be more than happy to help you.
Carly: *smiles* Thank you A.J… But there's something else, isn't there?
A.J.: You're right… Carly, I…
Carly: A.J. what is it?
A.J. gently put his hand on her shoulder and looked her in the eyes. Then, he
kissed her…

Henry watched as Lizzie, Lucky and Nikolas entered his room.
Henry: Hey, guys.
Lucky: Hey.
Nikolas: Hello… So, you're mother told you?
Henry: Yes, she did. How did you know?
Nikolas: Uncle told me.
Henry: Oh, yeah… right… my father.
Lizzie sat right next to his bed.
Lizzie: So, how are you?
Henry: I've been better, but I guess I'm all right. I'm getting out of here
later.
Lizzie: That's great.
Nikolas: Henry, I would like to apologize for my grandmother's actions…
Henry: It's all right, you have no control over what she does… I guess she was
my grandmother, too.
Nikolas: Correct.
Henry: Man… this is just… what's the word I'm looking… strange… no, different.
This is all so different for me. It's like, I'm the same person, only a lot
about me has just changed… I guess this doesn't make much sense.
Lucky: Trust me, it makes perfect sense.
They were silent for a moment.
Nikolas: Have you talked to Uncle yet?
Henry: No, I haven't seen him.
Lizzie: He's probably still just trying to figure out what to say.
Nikolas: This is new to him, too.
Henry: Yeah, I guess… I just hope no new surprises pop out of no where. This
one's been one hell of a headache.
Nikolas thought to himself, "You been a Cassadine for about a couple of hours…
you ain't seen nothing yet…"

Sonny arrived home to see Brenda sitting at the table reading the newspaper.
Her walked behind her, wrapped his arms around her and kissed her on the neck.
Brenda: Hello, honey.
Brenda kissed him on the lips.
Brenda: Can you believe its only going to be a few more days until we're finally
married?
Sonny: I can hardly wait. I can't believe it's taken this long… but it's been
worth waiting for.
Brenda: Just a few more days until we're husband and wife…
Sonny put his hand on her stomach…
Sonny: And not much longer until we're a family.

Jerry is still waiting in the bar. He looks at his watch again.
Jerry: What the hell…
He was about to get up and check, when the bartender called to him.
Bartender: Hey, Jerry, phone call.
Jerry turned around and excepted the phone. Maybe V was calling from her room…
why, who knows?
Jerry: Hello?
Man: Hello, Jerry. Remember me?
Jerry: Milo… I thought you…
Milo: In prison where you left me to rot, Jacks? No, I got out of the rut.
You're probably wondering why the hell I'm calling you. Well, quite simply, I
have a friend of yours who would like to say hi.
Jerry suddenly heard Venus' voice.
Venus: Jerry, get the pol…
Milo: *in the background* HUSH!
Jerry: Milo, you bastard…
Milo: Oh, oh, I wouldn't be calling anyone names here, if I were you, especially
if you wanna see your precious Venus again.
Jerry: What do you want? Money?
Milo: You got money! All you have to do is go into your little bank account,
quick and easily. No, after bleeding me dry, it will NOT be made that easy.
You got me?
Jerry: So what do you want me to do?
Milo: You'll receive instructions soon… just wait by the phone.
Jerry: Milo, you better not lay a hand on her or.
Milo: Or what? You can't do anything to me, Jerry, you have too much to lose.
Milo hangs up. Jerry couldn't believe this… What the hell was he gonna do?

It had been a few minutes since Nikolas, Lizzie and Lucky left when Henry saw
his father enter his hospital room.
Stefan: Hello, Henry.
Henry: Mr. Cass… I mean… I don't know what I mean.
Stefan: That is very understandable. We need to talk…
