Chapter 3:
**AT WYNDEMERE**
Katherine is shocked. She has nothing to say except. .
Katherine: What?
Stefan: This is a surprise to you? We have been having some difficulties, don't
you think?
Katherine: Yes, but I thought we resolved all of it! Stefan, you can't be
serious.
Stefan: I am, Katherine. I thought you would understand.
Katherine: Well, I don't. Did you expect me to take news like this softly? I am
a little shocked. I thought we were going to be together forever!
Stefan: Forever is a long time, Katherine. I think that we need some time to be
apart, sort out our feelings. And if we both feel the same way, we come back to
each other.
Katherine: If that's how you feel. I guess I had better look for an apartment
or something and get packing.
Katherine, with tears streaming down her face, slowly gets up and walks over to
the gatehouse and starts packing and looking for a penthouse or apartment.
Stefan sits on the couch with a look of relief just as Nikolas walks down the
stairs.
Stefan: Nikolas, I have something to tell you.
BTW, Nikolas has regained his speech.
Nikolas: Yes, Uncle?
Nikolas sits next to Stefan, ready for any news that Stefan has for him.
Stefan: Katherine will no longer be living here.
Nikolas: What?! I thought you loved her, Uncle.
Stefan: I did. But I feel as if I am being rushed into this relationship and I
need to see other people.
Nikolas: Uncle, you don't have to lie to me I see right through you!
**IN SONNY'S HOSPITAL ROOM**
Brenda: Why did you leave me at the altar, Sonny? WHY?
Sonny: I realized that everything, and everyone I touched got hurt. Like with
Lily, she got blown up in a car because of me! And I didn't want that to happen
to you, Brenda.
Brenda: So you did it for my protection?
Sonny: Yes, I did. I told Jason to tell you that I didn't love you because I
was afraid you wouldn't believe him. And to tell you that it was a great ride.
I didn't want you going after me Brenda, and I knew you would!
Brenda: But to do it this way, Sonny? Why not just tell me you didn't want to
marry me because of those reasons and we could have waited, Sonny. We could
have waited until you got out of the mob. I have no trouble waiting!
Sonny: If we waited, then we might have been waiting forever, Brenda. It takes
hard work and time to get out, it's very hard! But Brenda, believe me now... I
love you.
Brenda: Not this again, not this AGAIN! Sonny, you have missed a lot since you
left. I am engaged to Jax.
Sonny: Brenda you are repeating what happened before we even thought about
getting married! Before we got back together! Tell me, has anything changed, now
that I have come back? Has anything changed between us? Do you still love me?
**AT WYNDMERE**
Stefan: What are you talking about, Nikolas?
Nikolas: You still love Bobbie, don't you?
Stefan: Nikolas...
Nikolas: Don't you?
The doorbell rings, Stefan opens the door and Helena is standing outside.
Helena: It's ready, my son.
Stefan: Mother, don't do this.
Helena: Time for my plan to take action, are you with me?
Stefan: I would never join you. NEVER.
Helena: Suit yourself. You were always different from your brothers. Why
should I have asked you now if I had known that.
Helena walks off, ready to put her plan into action.
Nikolas: What's going on, Uncle?
Stefan: Nothing to be concerned about, when it happens, you should be concerned.
Right now I must go to the hospital.
**AT GENERAL HOSPITAL**
Bobbie is walking down the hallways when she spots Tony. She walks over to the
side with him.
Bobbie: Hey. What are you doing?
Tony: Bobbie... I love you!
