Chapter 10
Robin got off the launch. She was feeling confused. She had been keeping a
secret from everyone except for maybe Deanna. She told everyone that she loved
Jason. That was true but she has been recently been beginning to have feelings
for Nikolas. She felt very comfortable with him. These feelings were the same
feelings that she had with Stone when they first met. She was beginning to fall
in love with Nikolas. But she was still in love with Jason. She knew that she
had to come to terms with her feelings for Jason before she can deal with her
feelings for Nikolas. She saw Nikolas coming toward the launch. She noticed him
smile when he saw her.
Nikolas: Robin.
He came up to her and gave her a hug.
Robin noticed how good she felt with him holding on to her.
Robin: Hey Nikolas. We need to talk.
Nikolas: All right. (They both head to Kelly's. When they enter they don't
notice Sarah who is watching them.) What is it Robin.
Robin: Its time that I tell you the truth about how I feel before this goes too
far. I care for you very deeply.
Nikolas: But?
Robin: I am in love with Jason. I still have these feelings for him. I also care
for you. I might be even falling in love with you. But I am not going to hurt
you by letting you fall in love with me. You deserve someone who can you love
you completely. You deserve that. I can love you Nikolas but I can't give you my
complete love.
Nikolas: Whatever you can give me is enough.
Robin: No. I have been loved completely. It is a great feeling. You are very
special Nikolas. I can’t love you or anyone until I explore my feelings for
Jason.
Nikolas: I will wait.
Robin: Don’t wait for me Nikolas. There is someone who can love you completely.
I will admit that it could be me. It would be so easy for me to fall in love
with you. I love you enough to let you go. Jason loved me enough to let me go.
Look for someone else. I want to be your friend. If it doesn't work out with
Jason then maybe the friendship might turn into love, But I am not going to ruin
our friendship by loving you and then us never being together.
Nikolas: I can be your friend. I want to be with you. I want to be your
boyfriend. But I will be your friend. But in my heart I will hope that you and
Jason don't work it out because I want more.
Robin: You are honest. A good friendship must have that.
Nikolas: You know that Stefan is holding a ball to announce his and Katherine's
engagement. I would like for you to attend as my friend. Of course if Jason is
still missing by then I will understand you not attending.
Robin: Of course I will attend. If we are going to be honest with each other
there is something else you should know about me.
Nikolas: What?
Robin tells Nikolas that she is from the 24th century.
