Chapter 24
Commander Riker came up to Mac who was in his office. Riker knew that had to
convince Mac not to investigate Helena's murder. Mac heard the knock on the door
and invited Riker in.
Riker: Commissioner I am William Riker from the WSB. I am here to inform you
that we will be taking over the investigation of the death of Helena Cassadine.
Mac: Why is the WSB so interested in this case?
Riker: I can't say. All I can say is that we are taking over the investigation.
And you are to release Mr. Cassadine.
Mac: I can't just release him just because you say so.
Riker: You do not have a choice. I have an order saying that we are assuming the
investigation of this case. And that you must turn over all evidence in this
case.
Riker turns over the order. Mac reads it.
Mac: I am sorry. Murder is a local crime. I can't drop this case.
Riker: You don't have a choice.
Mac: I will not drop this case.
Mac calls for two officers. He throws Riker out of his office. V and Garcia
notice this and come into Mac's office.
V: What’s going on Mac?
Mac: HE is from the WSB. HE wants to take over the Helena Cassadine case. And He
ordered me to release Stefan Cassadine.
Garcia: Why?
V: Those types never give a reason. They just come in and do it.
Mac: You know the WSB?
V: I have some knowledge of them. I will do some checking on it.
V then leaves. A couple of days later Carlos is meeting with one of his people.
Carlos: The talks with Morgan are not going well. He refuses to deal. So carry
out the plan.
Man: Yes sir. Ms. Scorpio will be taken care of.
The man leaves.
Carlos: You should have made the deal Morgan. It’s a shame that Robin Scorpio
must die. But you must learn the lesson.
Carlos notices that someone has come into the room. He turns to face the person.
We see that the person is Sarah.
