Chapter 40
On the Enterprise Bridge Robin and the others were getting an update on what was
happening in finding out what was wrong with the timeline. They had been told
that there was nothing new to report. Data then turned to Robin and told her
that there was something else.
Robin: What is it Data?
Data: I have been checking the Port Charles police frequencies in order if we
can learn anything?
Robin: And?
Data: There has been a lot of activity by the police. And it involved you.
Robin: What about me?
Data: The police got a call about a shot being fired at a local bridge.
Robin: OH no. What did they learn?
Data: They found blood. And the current thinking is that it is yours Robin.
Robin: It doesn't surprise me since it is mine.
Data: There is more. The current theory is that your body was thrown off the
bridge.
Robin: No. With the currents they would never find a body. Uncle Mac must think
I am dead. I can't let that happen. But before we discuss that we should hear
from Wesley. Wes, what have you learned?
Wesley: I have been with the teenagers. I have been with one teenager. She and I
have become close friends.
Crusher: Who Wes?
Wesley: Emily Quartermaine.
Robin: You are Emily's mysterious boyfriend.
Wesley: Yes. I have met her friends and the other young people. There is nothing
unusual with them.
Robin: So the world is normal. But something will happen that will change the
timeline. I need to get back to earth. I need to tell my friends that I am fine.
Picard: but how are you going to explain the shooting on the bridge?
Robin explains how she is going to explain it.
