Chapter 41
Robin was with the other bridge officer's. Data had just told Robin about
Garcia's finding of blood on the bridge. She knew that Mac and others must
believe that she is dead. Robin knew that she had to let people know that she
was alive. She told them that she had an idea.
Picard: What is your idea Robin?
Robin: The simplest way is to deny the fact that I was shot. Only three people
saw me get shot. Me, Jason and the guy who shot me. Jason and I will deny it.
Data: The only problem is that they have your blood. When they get the results
they will see that it matches your blood.
Robin: If I know the technology they have they should not have the DNA results
yet. All they know is that the blood has the HIV Virus.
Crusher: But to the people living in this time you are HIV positive.
Robin: Yes but so do others. Data, I need for you to get access to the computers
that are doing the tests on my blood. I need the results changed so they the
blood does not match me.
Data: I can do that. So the blood will belong to some mysterious person who is
dead.
Robin: And it will be an unsolved crime.
Picard: So is your uncle going to believe this?
Robin: When he gets the fake DNA tests yes. But there is going to be another
problem.
Crusher: Your scar?
Robin: Yes when I go in for a checkup my doctor is going to find the scar on my
chest.
Crusher: So how are you going to deal with that?
Just before Robin can explain what she is going to do a bright light fills the
room. Everyone in the room turns and sees a man in an Admiral's uniform. Picard
turns toward him and calls his name.
Picard: Q!
