Chapter 56
Robin and the others held a meeting on what to do about Brenda. They had agreed
to a plan in which Brenda's death would be faked just like it is recorded in
history. Robin listened in shock when Data told everyone that Liz would soon be
murdered. Robin reacted to the news.
Robin: That’s it. We just found the problem in the timeline. Liz Webber is the
problem in the timeline.
Picard: But Robin there is no mention of Liz Webber in history. How can she be
the cause of the timeline change?
Robin: You all do know her. But not as Elizabeth Webber. She is a woman. She
took her husband's name when she got married. You all know her as Elizabeth
Spencer.
Everyone in the room look at Robin. Crusher is the first to respond.
Crusher: Elizabeth Webber is President Elizabeth Spencer.
Robin: Yes she is. She is able to prevent a global nuclear war. (A thought hits
Robin) When you returned to the 24th century you saw the results of that war.
Troi: Elizabeth Spencer was supposed to be President during that time.
Robin: So when she died in this time the timeline went on without her.
Picard: Someone else became president during that time and started the nuclear
war that destroyed earth.
Everyone then noticed another bright flash. They noticed that Q had come back.
Q: I see that you all have figured it out. I was wondering when you would figure
it out.
Robin then came up to Q. She looked at him with hate in her eyes.
Robin: You have put humanity in danger with this game of yours. Tell me why I
shouldn't carry out your punishment for doing this.
Q: I have my reasons why Robin.
Robin: Tell me now or I will carry out your death sentence myself.
Q tells Robin what is going on.
