Chapter 61
Brenda looked around the Enterprise. She was shocked when Robin told her about
being from the future. Brenda was the told that Harlan was not her father and
that her real father was son the ship. Robin led Brenda toward Picard's ready
room. As they walked though the halls of the ship Brenda noticed the aliens that
walked the halls. They then took the turbolift to the bridge. Robin the led
Brenda to the ready room. They waited.
Picard: Enter.
Robin and Brenda came in to the room. Brenda then noticed Captain Picard. Brenda
looked at her friend. Brenda was shocked when she heard Robin's voice in her
head.
Robin: (Telepathically) Yes Brenda. He is your father.(Aloud) Captain Picard.
This is Brenda Barrett. I will be outside if either of you need me.
Brenda looked at Robin.
Brenda: Please stay. I can't do this alone.
Picard: I want to make Brenda comfortable with this. Please stay.
Robin: All right.
Picard and Brenda sit down at the desk while Robin stays by the door. There is a
long moment of silence.
Picard: You are very beautiful.
Brenda: Thank you “dad?”. So how did you and mom meet.
Picard: I was on Risa. Your mother was there to. We had an adventure together.
Afterwards we saw each other again.
Brenda: Risa? I am sorry but I don't know what Risa is?
Robin: You will love it Brenda. It is a planet where people go to relax. It is
like the love boat.
Picard: Love boat?
Robin: It is a television show Captain. It is about a cruise ship where people
fall in love. It is all about romance.
Picard: I see. Tell me about yourself.
Brenda: I grew up with Harlan Barrett. He hated me. I came to Port Charles to
see my sister. I met this wonderful man named Jax. We are going to be married
soon. Tell me about you. Do I have any brothers or sisters.
Picard: No. I never had time for a family. I always wanted a child. But in this
life there is never any time to do it. I am pleased to have a daughter. I know
that you have had a hard life. I would like the chance to know you.
Brenda: I would like that to. But unless you are going to be here on Earth a
while I don't see that happening.
Picard looks at Robin.
Picard: She doesn't know?
Robin: The first priority was her meeting you. Once that happens then we will
tell Brenda about the rest.
Brenda: What else is there? Tell me Robin.
Robin: I intend to. I think that Vash, Deanna and Dr. Crusher should be there.
Picard: All right. We should discuss it in the conference room.
Robin, Brenda and Picard head to the conference room. After they arrive, they
call for Troi, Vash and Crusher. After a few minutes they arrive. They tell
Brenda what is going on.
