Chapter 3
Nikolas: "Lucky?" Nikolas can feel his heart pounding in his ears, but why? Liz
is staring at Lucky. Nikolas can see the fear in her eyes, and he decides he has
to stop it.
Nikolas: "Look, its ok. I bet he's just sleeping." Nikolas walks over to Lucky
and taps him on the cheek. "Come on Lucky, time to get up…" Nikolas lets his
sentence trail off as he feels Lucky's cheek again. His faces hardens, and he
stands there for a moment trying to recollect his thoughts.
Nik: "Oh my god… Liz! Call an ambulance!" Nikolas looks over at Liz who is still
standing in the same place, staring at Lucky. "Elizabeth! Come on, I need you!
Lucky needs you!" At the mention of Lucky, Liz snaps out of it and runs to the
phone.
Nik: "Call 911!" Liz makes the call, then kneels down next to Nikolas.
Nik: "What did the thermometer say?" Liz looks at Nikolas, then back at Lucky.
Liz, in a sad voice: "105." Liz looks at Nikolas' shocked face, and that brings
a tiny smile to her face for some reason. They soon hear a knock on the door,
and Liz runs to answer it. She sends the paramedics up to her room to get Lucky.
Paramedic: "Ok, out of the way, son." The Paramedic says to Nikolas, who for
some reason, has trouble leaving his side. What the hell's going on, Nikolas
wonders. The Paramedics take Lucky's vitals, then put him on the stretcher and
rush him to the ambulance.
Liz: "Can we go with him?" The paramedic nods, and Liz climbs in. Nikolas
hesitates.
Liz: "Nikolas, come on."
Nikolas: "I'll just meet you there ok?" Liz nods, and the ambulance takes off.
Nikolas gets into his car and starts towards the hospital, when the Spencer
house comes into view.
Nik: "I suppose someone should tell them…"
Looks like he's just been volunteered.
