Alicia and Carson were sitting at a table sipping hot chocolates.
"I heard about your fall yesterday. Are you okay?" He asked. Alicia
smiled.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Except the blonde manager I think her name is Lana Crystal, she's all freaked that I'm going to sue." Alicia said chuckling.
"They would have a lot of money to lose though." Carson pointed out.
"Yeah, but if the doctor says that I'm fine, I can't sue them." Alicia replied. Carson sipped at his hot chocolate.
"Yeah, but sometimes injuries don't show up till later. It's like if
someone punches you, and then skin doesn't turn black and blue until later."
"Oh..." Alicia began to understand, "Carson, you are so smart."
"Thanks," Carson replied, flashing Alicia his pearly white teeth. Alicia smiled back and Carson moved closer to her.... Their intamite moment was interrupted when Shirley, Bo and Lana Crystal burst in.
Shirley and Bo were white faced, while Lana was red.
"Are you sure you're alright?" Lana asked.
"I'm fine." Shirley said.
"Alright, I need to go find Antonio... I am THIS CLOSE to firing him. If there's any problems, just tell me." Shirley nodded and Lana Crystal bustled off. Alicia pointed to two chairs.
"Sit." She said. Shirley and Bo sat.
"What happened? You guys look like ghosts," Carson asked.
"Shirley almost fell into a ravine." Bo said. The table was silent for a moment.
"WHAT?" Alicia exclaimed. Shirley and Bo told their story.
"I would've fell in but Bo grabbed me by the waste, I was trying to stop though," Shirley shuddered as she remember herself frantically trying to snowplow her skis, "Anyway, one of the guys that worked here spotted us and gave us a lift to Lana Crystal's office. But on our way there, we had only driven a few feet we spotted a sign that said CLOSED TRAIL DANGEROUS. The guy was shocked, cause about two hours earlier they had checked the signs which means someone had to have moved them."
"So you think someone's out to get you?" Alicia asked.
"Not ME. But anyone. I think we should check out our friend Antonio. I mean, all these accidents are connected, with his caretaking. It was his job to put the signs up."
