THE DANGEROUS DANCE - Part 9
By Courtney

Bo was in the middle of touching the floor repeatedly and switching hands with Gina, he was getting up and spinning her when something caught out of the corner of his eyes. Shirley.

"What...?" He muttered, suddenly a loud snap overhead caught his attention, he had just started looking up when he felt someone pushing him and Gina down on the floor. He looked just to see an over head light coming crashing down, and Shirley lying directly in it's path.

"Shirley!" Bo screamed at the top of his lungs. Shirley rolled to her right, and the light came crashing down inches away from her. The entire audience gasped as glass flew everywhere. Shirley covered her head, but felt the glass cutting the front of her hand, and her forehead.

Some people were rushing up to the lighing area. Shirley hoped Becki would be caught. She felt two hands pull her backwards.
"Shirley!" Bo gasped, looking at the gash on the forehead, and the cut on her hand.

"I'm okay." Shirley assured him, shaking from her near death experience.

"No you're not." Bo said, he ripped some material from the leg of his costume and wiped at her forehead, "That's going to need stiches."

"Stiches can't stop me." Shirley joked. She looked at Bo, who stared at her. He gave her a long hug.

"I thought you died.." He choked out, trying not to cry.

"Don't cry. That's my job." Shirley whispered.

"Oh God Shirley." Bo exclaimed, he hugged her tighter.

"Cue the sappy music." Shirley said, she looked at Bo, "You're too good to me. I owed you. How many times have you saved my life?"

"I lost count." Bo admitted. The both looked up when they hear two sirens. A police car and an ambulence. The lights made criss-cross patterns on the cieling. An ambulence attendant came in and inspected Shirley's forehead, she would indeed need stitched. Meanwhile, she noticed Becki being lead out of the dance hall. Case closed.
