The Case of the Disappeared Wallet - Part 2
By Cristiano
Robert Holmes went to Shirley and said: "Have you seen my wallet?
I left it in the pocket of my jacket in the clothes-stand in front of the
door."
"How could I have seen it if I have been in bed all morning? -
Shirley replied - maybe you left it someplace and you don't remember where."
"I must find it - he said - there were $5,000.00 inside that I
had just retired from the bank!"
"I'd be happy to help you dad, but I now have a temperature and
I'm very tired."
"Don't worry - Robert said going away - sleep!" The days passed
by and the wallet remained lost. Shirley was much better, but she still
had a
little bit of temperature. Bo didn't come back to visit her, but
was a little bit worried. Just that afternoon he came with a box of choccolate
and said:
"Well, how are you?"
Shirley said: "I'm better, and maybe tomorrow, I'll be back at
school."
"Good!" Bo exclaimed. At that time Robert arrived but didn't greet
neither Shirley nor Bo.
"He seems angry - he said - what's the matter with him?"
"He lost his wallet - Shirley answered - since almost a week."
"I see. Heaven knows who's stolen it."
The next morning Shirley was very well and went back to school.
When she come back home, she asked:
"Dad, have found your wallet?"
"No, - did Robert Holmes answer- I still haven't."
"Well, now I can help you!"
