By Cristiano

Shirley went to her father and said: "Dad, look! - showing him the wallet - I found it in Mr. Kant's garden!"
"Good - Robert Holmes anwered - I'm going to phone the police."

The police came in a few minutes and after have questioned Mr. Holmes they arrested Mr. Kant for theft.
That evening Shirley was very tired and she went to bed very early.

Next morning, during lunch, Shirley told Bo: "Yesterday, the police arrested the thief of Dad's wallet!"

"Good - Bo anwered - who was he?"
"Our neighbour - Shirley anwered - I don't think you know him."

"And the money?" Bo asked.

"The police haven't have found it yet."
"That's too bad! $5,000 is a lot of money."

In the afternoon, Shirley went with her father to the police station to speak with the inspector.
"Nothing - the inspector told them - he says he isn't a thief."

"Can I speak with him?" Mr. Holmes asked. "No prob. - the inspector anwered - Follow me."

When they saw him, Mr. Kant said: "Mr. Holmes, I'm not a thief. I didn't steal your wallet. Anyone could've thrown it in my garden."

Outside, Shirley asked him: "What did he tell you?"
"He told me anyone could've thrown my wallet in his garden."

 "But he's right!", Shirley anwered."
"So you think just anyone entered here, stole my wallet, escaped, took the $5,000, threw it in Mr. Kant's garden and went away, don't you?"
 Shirley looked spellbound.

"What's the matter with you? - Robert Holmes asked her - are you OK?"
"Yes, I am - Shirley anwered - I'm just very tired. Let's go home, please!"
