Mount Thomas Police Station


"Hello, Mount Thomas Police Station Tom 
speaking."

"Hello Tom. This is Monica Draper. How 
are you?"

"I'm fine, thank you."

"Well,I'm afraid that I have some bad 
news for you."

"This is definitely not a good day for me. 
We've already had 2 robberies, a hit and 
run and a shooting incident in our only
supermarket just this morning."

"That's actually why I'm calling, Tom."

"What do you mean that's why you're 
calling?"

"Well you see there's been so much crime 
in Mount Thomas that we've decided to 
close your Police Station..."

"What, I won't have that!"

"Tom, I know this hard, but listen to me."

"Okay" Tom grumbled.

"The main authorities have just recently
decided to have the main F.B.I. office 
in Mount Thomas and reposition you present
constables."

"But... Wh...Wh...Where will we g...g...go?"
stammered Tom, who was so shocked that he 
thought this was going to give him another 
heart attack.

"Not you Tom, I'm sorry...There are no police
stations that need a new sergeant," Monica 
Draper said.

"You mean...I'll be out of a job?"

"Oh, no of course not Tom. We've decided to let you 
help the FBI agents because they don't know the roads 
around here and the people so you can help them."

Tom could feel his heart slowing down back to its
normal speed. For a moment then he had felt a 
heart attack coming.  

"Well that's good. Would you like me to tell the
others right now?"

"No, I'll just give the names of the places that 
they will now be working at."

"Okay, I have a pad and pen."

"Maggie will be working at Mount Margaret in 
Victoria. 
PJ will be working at Patrick Joseph Point
in Darwin.
Adam will be working at Adam Avenue Police 
Station in Sydey.  
Dash will be working at The Deidre Downs Police 
Station in Sydney.
Nick will be working at Nicholas Police Station 
in the Nullabor Plains.
And as I said before, you Tom, will be staying 
here in Mount Thomas."

"OK, well thanks for ringing i'll tell the others
where they'll be going and we'll be gone by the
morning."

"Thanks Tom...uh...didn't you think that where 
everyone is working is a bit of a coincidence being
their first name?"

"What do you mean?" asked a horrified Tom.

"Oh never mind."
