DATE GONE WRONG

The following story is about Maggie and PJ. It was made using some of the ideas from other stories on this page and the Television Shows official episodes!



Scene One: The Station

Maggie - Boss, I'm leaving 

Tom - Okay, I'll see you tomorrow 

Maggie - Bye 

Nick - Don't do anything…….I wouldn't do. 

Everyone but PJ looks up at Maggie and grins. PJ looks embarrassed. 

Then everyone returns to their normal work. 

Ten Minutes Later 

PJ - I'm out of here 

Everyone looks up again and look at each other. 

Nick - Don't do anything….I wouldn't do. 

  

Scene Two: Maggie House 

Maggie - What am I going to wear 

The Phone rings. 

PJ - Hey Maggs 

Maggie - Hi PJ 

PJ - Can I pick you up in an hour? 

Maggie - Fine, where are we going? 

PJ - It's a surprise 

Maggie - Okay, what should I wear 

PJ - It's formal 

Maggie - Well, see you then. 

PJ - Bye 

Maggie hangs up the phone 

Maggie - What am I going to wear?

Scene Three: PJ house 

PJ keeps looking at his watch. He is already ready and has half an hour to spare. 

  

Half an hour later 

PJ walks out the door and jumps in too it car and drive to Maggie's. When he arrives he checks to see if his tie is straight and that his hair looks okay, fussing around
like a girl with her make up. 

Knock, Knock. 

Maggie - Hi PJ, Hang on a second, I'll just get my coat. 

PJ - Okay. 

Maggie hands PJ her coat and he puts it on her. They then walk out to the car and PJ opens the car door for Maggie. 

  

Scene Four: Restaurant 

Waiter - Hello, Sir, Madam 

PJ - We've got a reservation for 'Hasham'. 

Waiter - Yes, this way please 

The waiter seats them at a table which is by a window. 

  

Twenty minutes Later 

PJ - Maggs, isn't that guy at there, by the tree that… 

Maggie - Can we have a conversation about something other then work. 

PJ - No Maggs, I'm serious. That fax we got today, from Melbourne. That bloke with the beard from the Kidnapping. 

Maggie - Yeah, I know but that couldn't be him. 

PJ - No, I'm serious it is, John Matthew's. 

The Man walks in to the Restaurant. PJ becomes very nervous and Maggie can sense it. 

John - Move out of the way (Speaking the Waiter) 

PJ stands up. 

John - Look you (pointing at the Waiter), I want money….quick. 

PJ - John. 

The Man looks around. 

John - How did you know my name? 

PJ - Senior Detective PJ Hasham. 

John pulls out a shot gun. 

PJ - Know we don't need that, put it away. 

John - Why, what's the matter? Don't you have you gun here? 

John moves towards PJ and Maggie's Table. 

PJ - Stop, don't come any closer. What do you want? 

John - I want her, your girlfriend and your car keys. 

Maggie - Okay, PJ give me the keys. 

PJ - Maggs, don't go. John take me! 

John - No. 

John takes Maggie putting his gun to her neck. 

He leaves with Maggie. 

  

Scene Five: Out side 

John - Which car is it? 

Maggie - That one. 

John - What one, blondie? 

Maggie - The blue one. 

John drags Maggie to the car and pushers her into the drivers seat and gives her 

the keys. He jumps into the back seat and puts the gun to her neck again. 

John - Start the car! 

As Maggie starts the car PJ runs out of the Restaurant, but it is too late as 

the car is already driving off. 

  

Scene Six: Inside the Restaurant 

PJ - I need a phone, mobile, com 'on! HURRY. 

A woman hands PJ her mobile and PJ rings the station. 

PJ - Nick. 

Nick - What happened to your date with Margaret? 

PJ - Get down here, Maggie has been taken… 

Nick - By who? 

PJ - John Matthews. 

Nick - I'll be there in 5 but where's here? 

PJ - That French Restaurant. 

  

Scene 7: The Car 

Maggie - PJ will have called the station by now. You won't get very far. 

John - And who is PJ, your boyfriend? 

Maggie doesn't answer. 

John - He seems to like you a lot. What will he do if he finds you dead? 

Maggie - If you kill me the police will trace you to the end of the earth, you'll never get away with it. 

John - And what makes you so smart? 

  

Scene 8: Restaurant 

PJ - What took you so long? 

Nick - Okay, what happened. 

PJ - He walked in to the building, demanded money, I stood up, he bought out a gun, I ask him to put it away, he didn't, he walked towards us, demanded my car
keys and my "Girl Friend", Maggie. 

Nick - oooOOOooo. 

PJ - And Maggie got up and went with him. I tried to stop her. 

Nick - What way did he go? 

PJ - Towards the Highway 

Nick - Com 'on, let's go. 

  

Scene 9: Police Vehicle. 

Nick - So what did you get up to? 

PJ - Shut up. 

Nick - Com 'on mate. 

PJ - We Only had 10 minutes before that idiot came in…STOP 

Nick - What? 

PJ - Go down here. 

Nick - It's a dead end road. 

PJ - There's tyre marks. 

Nick turns right in to the dirt track and starts to speed up. 

  

5 minutes later 

They find the deserted car. 

Nick - PJ, the car. 

PJ jumps out and runs towards the car. 

PJ - Maggie, Maggs! 

Nick - She's not here. 

They both set out on foot. 

PJ - I should of shot him. 

Nick - With What? And anyway you would of ended up with the trouble like you got when you shot the Darcy's mother. 

PJ - It's not like that Nick. I'll never forgive myself if anything happens to Maggie. 

Nick - You like her a lot? 

They hear Maggie Yell. 

PJ - What's that? 

PJ - Maggie! 

John - Don't come any closer ….. or I'll shoot her 

PJ - If you shoot a cop your life won't be worth living. 

John - You like this woman a lot 

Maggie - PJ. 

John - Shut up, blondie! 

Nick - Stay calm, John! We'll talk about this. 

John - Who are you? 

Nick - Senior Constable Nick Schultz. 

John - Why should I talk to you, how can I trust you. 

They hear 2 gun shots 

PJ - Maggie. 

Maggie - Here (In a very soft voice) 

PJ rushes over to her. 

PJ - You'll be okay, where were you shot. 

Maggie - I wasn't, he was. 

Maggie points to John, who is lying about 4 meters from her. Nick goes over to John, and takes his pulse. 

Nick - His alive. 

John - Help me please. 

Nick (To the Radio) - Mt. Thomas 509. We need an ambulance at the end of Jewls Rd. 

Radio - Received that Mt. Thomas 509. 

PJ - Are you okay Maggs? 

Maggie - Yep. 

PJ - What are we going to do about our date? 

Maggie - I don't know (And she grins) 

PJ leans down and gives Maggie a long kiss. 

Nick - oooOOOooo. 

PJ- Shut up Nick. 

And PJ gives Maggie another kiss. 

The ambulance arrives and takes the suspect, John to the hospital. 

  

Scene 10: The Station 

PJ - Maggs. 

And PJ walks in to his office followed by Maggie. 

Maggie - What do you want? 

PJ - Nothing. 

Maggie - PJ, about tonight. 

PJ - No, Maggie don't give me that talk again. 

Maggie - PJ. 

PJ - Maggie we could make it work. 

Maggie - The Boss will split us up. 

PJ - He won't Maggie, trust me. I won't let him. Can't we give it a try? 

Maggie - If you promise me one thing. 

PJ - What? 

Maggie - If you come over here….NOW. 

PJ moves towards Maggie. 

PJ - What…. 

Maggie puts her fingers on PJ lips to stop him talking and gives him a kiss and PJ puts his hands around Maggie and gives her a hug. 

They then walk out together, with their arms around each other shoulders and head for PJ house. 

Nick - Don't do anything … I wouldn't do! 

  

Scene 11: The Station (The Next Day) 

Adam: So what happened last night Nick? 

Nick: Well, nothing much, but you'll find out in good time. 

Dash: Nick, what did happen? And where is PJ and Maggie? There both last and Maggie never came home last night. 

Nick: Really? 

PJ walks in. 

PJ: Nice to see you all! All have a good night, did we? 

Nick: Maybe, but how about you? 

Maggie walks in 5 minutes later 

Nick: Nice to see you Margaret! Have good night, did we? 

PJ: Maggie, can I have a word? 

  

Scene 12: C.I Office 

Maggie: Yeah 

PJ: Nothing. 

Maggie: Well then, what did you want? 

PJ: Just this. 

PJ walks towards Maggie. 

Maggie: And what would that be? 

PJ: Well, I'm sure you know. 

Maggie and PJ kiss but Tom walks in on them. 

Tom: Sorry, PJ can I have a word? 

Maggie walks out. 

PJ: Yeah. 

Tom: I just wanted to know what is happening between you and Maggie? 

PJ: Nothing much. 

Tom: It doesn't seem like that, after what Nick said. 

PJ: Look Boss, what did Nick say? 

Tom: He just lead Adam, Dash and I that you two were.. 

There's a pause. 

PJ: Were? 

Tom: Having a relationship outside work. 

PJ: And if we were? 

Tom: I'd be damn pleased, because it is about time. 

PJ open the door. 

PJ: Maggie? 

Maggie walks in to the C.I. Office. 

Tom: So you are? 

Maggie: We are……what? 

Tom: Having a relationship outside work. You know. 

Maggie: Well, 

PJ: Yes, we are. 

Tom: Well it's about time! Congratulations! 

Tom walks out and closes the door. 

  

Scene 13: The Station 

Adam: So what going on Boss? 

Tom: Well, I don't think it concerns you but you can take a guess. 

Adam: I knew it. 

PJ and Maggie walk out. 

Nick: Well, Well the two love birds. 

PJ and Maggie are embarrassed. 

Dash: Good on you Maggie! Told you. 

Maggie: Dash. 

Adam: Good on you PJ. I knew it!
