Love, not forever!

It was a quite day at the station and everyone was catching up on paper work. PJ had been to the doctor after Maggie ordered him to go. He had been complaining
of chest pains. "So what did the doctor say?" Maggie asked as they entered the C.I office. 

PJ: Well I have to take these tablets

Maggie: Well you have to buy them then

PJ: No, I really don't need them

Maggie: And what else did Zoe say?

PJ: She wants me to have a week or two off but I'm not going to

Maggie: PJ, so you won't take the medication and you won't take a week or two off?

PJ: Correct

Maggie: But PJ

PJ: But

Maggie: Will you take them if...

PJ: If you come over to my place tonight to some dinner I will

Maggie: Fine, as long as you take the medication and it's totally based on friendship

PJ: Totally based on friendship, right, it will be 

Maggie: About 8?

PJ: Yep

The two then went back into the main office where they both joked around with Adam, Dash and Nick.

Nick: So how did you manage to get him to the doctor, I would never go near that woman!

PJ: Like we're meant to believe that Schultz!

Nick: You are!

Dash: We all know about your secret relationship

Nick: Yuck! 

Dash: So what did she say?

Adam: Who said?

Dash: Zoe

PJ: You can mind you own business Dash

Adam: But you've told Maggie

Nick: And we all know why he told her don't we

Maggie: Nick

Adam: But anyway, it is quiet today isn't it

Maggie: Haven't we all told you not to say that?

Adam: Why?

"Get out!" the man yelled to a teenage girl, "And go where? "She asked. "I don't care!" the man yelled again as he threw his girlfriend some of her belongings as their
one year old daughter looked on. "What about Lisa?" the woman cried, "Your not taking her away, you have no where to take her. Now, get out!" he screamed as
he picked Lisa up. "Mummy..." Lisa cried as her Mother, Suzanne left.

Suzanne had no where to go. After walking around the street for about an hour she decided to go to the Baby Health Center where she takes her daughter for
regular visits to see the nurse, Marita.

Suzanne: Marita?

Marita: Yes Suzanne, Where's Lisa? Suzanne begins to cry) What's the matter?

Suzanne: It's Kea, he has, and he has... 

Marita: Has?

Suzanne: Thrown me out of the house

Marita: And Lisa?

Suzanne: He wouldn't let me take her, besides, where was I meant to take her?" 

Marita: Look, why don't we go down to the police station and they might be able to help

When the two women entered the station Maggie went up to the front counter, "Can I help you?" she asked seeing that the younger girl had been crying. 

Marita: Yes, you can. I'm Marita and I work at...

Maggie: You work at the Maternal and Child Health Center doesn't you?

Martia: Yes, anyway as I was saying Suzanne has been kicked out of the house she is living in

PJ: Her parent's house? (As he walked up to the front counter)

Marita: No. She's been living with the father of her baby, Lisa's house

She had a disagreement with him and he threw her out of the house Maggie: And where is the child now?

Marita: Lisa's with her father, Suzanne tried to take her but he didn't let her. Besides where was she meant to take her? 

PJ: I'm afraid we can't do anything if the father is looking after the child

Maggie: But why don't we you both come into the interview room and we can talk about it

The people within the interview room included Maggie, PJ, Suzanne, Marita and Nick. "So what was the disagreement about?" Maggie asked. 

Suzanne: It was exactly a disagreement, we just haven't been able to get along lately. Ever since he had a fight which him best mate

Nick: What's the name of his friend?"

Suzanne: Philip

Nick: Philip Eagan?

Suzanne: Yes, I think so

Maggie: Didn't we charge him with the robberies on the out skirts of town about 2 months ago?

PJ: Yeah, he got 2 years and he wouldn't tell us where to find the bloke that helped him

Maggie: What's the name of your boyfriend Suzanne

Suzanne: Kea, Kea Brown

PJ: That's whom we suspected of helping Brown

Maggie: Yeah, but we never could find him

Nick: Don't we have a warrant for his arrest?

PJ: Yep

Suzanne: Wait, I don't want to go that far

Maggie: This may be the only way we can help you get your child back, how old is she?

Marita: One year old

Maggie: Well do you think you boyfriend can look after her properly

Suzanne: I don't know

PJ: Where do you live Suzanne?

Suzanne: 83 Tuesday Drive

Maggie: Okay, then why don't you and Marita come with me and detective Hasham and Senior Constable Schultz will go in another car. 

PJ: And then Marita can come into the house with us and bring Lisa out to you.

Suzanne: Can't I just come in and stay with her

Nick: It would be better if he doesn't see you

When everyone got to the house Nick and PJ went in to arrest Kea. Marita also went in with them so she could bring Lisa back out to her mother but when they got
into the house they could not find Lisa but they found Kea asleep on a bed with empty bottles of beer surrounding him. Nick and PJ then woke Kea up while Marita
went back out to Maggie and Suzanne. When Marita told Maggie and Suzanne that Lisa wasn't in there Maggie went straight inside in the house. 

Maggie: What's happened?

PJ: The kid isn't here

Maggie: And where is Kea?

PJ: His getting dressed

Maggie: And Nick?

PJ: Watching him

Maggie: Good, you've got to take it easy

PJ: Maggs stop worrying, I'm fine! 

Maggie: I'm allowed to worry PJ, besides Chest pains aren't something you can joke about. 

PJ: Ouch,

Maggie: What, what's the matter?

PJ: Chest pain (Laughing)

Maggie: PJ, stop joking around 

(Maggie pushes PJ a bit)

PJ: Ouch

Maggie: Sorry, are you okay?

PJ: No, no thanks to you

Maggie: Are you joking?

PJ: Um, No. It really did hurt

Maggie: Look, you go and drive Marita and Suzanne back to the station. I'll take Kea back with Nick when his ready

PJ: No, you do that Maggs, I'll be fine

Maggie: PJ?

PJ: Look we agreed that you don't need protecting but that does go both ways

Maggie: Okay, just be careful.

When everyone was back at the station Suzanne and Marita sat in Tom's office while PJ and Maggie interviewed Kea.

PJ: Where is your daughter mate?

Kea: I don't know

PJ: Where is Lisa?

Kea: I've told you, I don't know!

PJ: You were the last one to see her from what we understand

Kea: Really!

Maggie: Do you ever care where your daughter is?

Kea: Maybe

Maggie: Do you know where you daughter is?

Kea: Maybe

PJ: You've now given us two answers, maybe and don't know so what is it?

Kea: Don't they mean the same?

PJ: Would you mind cooperating with us?

Maggie: Interview suspending at 4:05pm for Constable Doyle to speak to Detective Hasham. PJ?

Maggie then went into the C.I office passed everyone else. PJ followed her into his office where he asked, "What's wrong?". "Nothing, it just that...." Maggie started.
"The way your acting, it's like I'm going to have a heart attack or something" PJ joked. Maggie had this look on her face, "You don't really think I will, do you?" "It
could happen" she admitted sadly. "It won't happen" PJ told her as he gave her a reassuring hug, "It won't". He was expecting Maggie to pull back but she didn't.
"What do you want us to do with Brown?" Nick asked as he opened the door without knocking, "Ah, um, sorry". 

Maggie and PJ left the C.I office with Nick. They headed for the interview room but they had a quick conversation with the other officers on their way. 

PJ: Would you mind knocking next time Nick

Nick: No problem birdies

Adam: Birdies? That's a new one

Dash: I think it was directed at both of them and he forgot the love Adam

Maggie: Dash!

When Maggie and PJ finally reached the Interview room they found Kea sitting in the corner off the room.

PJ: You've got two choices

Maggie: One is to tell us the whereabouts of you daughter, Lisa

PJ: Or to stay here, in the cells to you decide to tell us

Kea: And what happens if I don't chose any of those?

PJ: Well you'll have option B for the rest of your life.

Kea: Look, I'm telling you the truth, I don't know where she is. 

PJ: Yes, you've told us. But with your games you're playing we don't believe you.

Maggie and PJ continued to negotiate with Kea but did not get anywhere. After another 40 minutes 6 O'clock was approaching so they asked Adam to process him
and put him in a cell. After Adam finished they all argued over who was going to baby-sit him, as they could not let him out on bail. They all hoped that Lisa was in a
safe place. They suspected she was with grandparents but they were not able to confirm that, as they couldn't contact them. After 15 minutes of going back and
fourth it was decided that Dash and Adam were to do it till 11 PM, Maggie and PJ to 4am and Nick to come into work 3 hours early even though Nick wasn't very
pleased but he never is. 

As planned Maggie turned up at PJ's at 8pm, "I didn't think you'd be coming now," he said as he opened the door wearing an old pair of tracksuit pants and T-shirt,
which he usually wears to bed. "Oh, I'm sorry PJ. I can see you were trying to get some sleep before we're on duty" Maggie said, "I'll see you tonight then". "Don't
be silly Maggs. Order some Chinese take-away as I get changed" PJ insisted as he invited Maggie into his house, "And when we pick it up we can get my
medication too Maggs!" "Good, that is the right attitude, now get going!"

At a quarter to eleven after eating Chinese takeaway and sharing a bottle of red wine Maggie and PJ went down to the station. Dash and Adam were pleased to see
them. They had been playing computer games on the main computer with permission from Tom but Adam kept on winning the game even though Dash was the
person who taught him. When Adam and Dash left Maggie and PJ continued the conversation they were having back at PJ's house. 

At 2 AM Maggie fell into a deep sleep in PJ's leather chair so PJ began to do the usual 15 minutes cheeks on Kea. At 3 AM Maggie was still asleep and PJ began
to get more pains within his chest. With in a minute he had shooting pains up his arms and he had trouble trying to breathe. As he struggled to breath within the main
office Maggie woke up. As she opened the door to the main office and saw PJ lying on the floor she ran to his aid. Maggie cheeked to see if he was breathing, he
wasn't, she then cheeked for a pulse and there wasn't. She began CPR but it was no use. She didn't want to leave his side but she needed help. She ran to the
nearest phone, which was on her desk and rang 000, "I need an ambulance at the Mt. Thomas Police Station urgently" she commanded. "Okay, what is the
situation?" the worried voice on the end of the phone asked, "My partner isn't breathing and doesn't have a pulse". "Have you tired CPR?" the voice asked, "Yes,
but its no use!" Maggie ran back to PJ and tried again but it wasn't any use. Within minutes the paramedics arrived and took PJ to the hospital with Maggie who
wouldn't leave his side.

When they reached the hospital Maggie was ordered to wait alone in the waiting room. Meanwhile PJ was being kept alive by a life support machine. They were
able to get a pulse within the ambulance but they couldn't get him to breathe by him self. As Maggie was finally allowed to enter PJ's hospital room Nick entered the
station finding it deserted besides Brown who was in the cells, "PJ? Maggie?" Nick yelled.

"PJ?" Maggie said quietly sitting down, "I told you that you had to be careful, I knew this would happen, why didn't you listen to me?" she cried. "You the only
person I have really loved and you have to go and to this to me. Why?" Maggie continued as she listening to the pump that was helping PJ breath go up and down,
