Surprise, Surprise!

Maggie was in the locker room fixing up her hair and placing the necklace 
PJ had given her into her locker, as she didn't want anything to happen to it, 
just as Dash  walked in. 

Dash: Um, I was wondering if I can move back in, it's a pain have to ride 
the extra 2 K to work everyday 

Maggie: You don't have to make up excuses you know 

Dash: It's not an excuse, it's the truth 

Maggie:  I'd love you to, but 

Dash: But what? Hang on, is that a new necklace? 

Maggie: Yeah, I'll tell you all about it tonight, as you move in 

Dash: Are you sure? 

Maggie: Of course I am Dash 
  

During that day Maggie and PJ were working together on a case which 
Involved a elderly couple. On their way back the following conversation occurred. 

PJ: An old couple, hey? 

Maggie: Yeah, but I wouldn't go teasing them 

PJ: Why do you say that? 

Maggie: I don't know 

PJ: Do you think we could ever be like that? 

Maggie: Us? What? 

PJ: I've confused you, havn't I? 

Maggie: You've done alright 

PJ stoped the car, reached into the compartment between the two front 
seats, picked up a tiny box then  got out of the car, went around to 
Maggie's door 
and opened it, and finally got down on one knee. 

Maggie: What are you doing? 

PJ: Margaret Doyle 

Maggie: Margaret Doyle? 

PJ: Yes, Margaret Doyle, will you marry me? 

Maggie: PJ, I don't know what to say 

PJ: Well you could say yes! 

Maggie: Umm, Yes I'll marry you! 

PJ puts the ring, which was inside the box onto Maggies finger, before 
they both shared a kiss. 

PJ: So I wonder how the others will react 

That night PJ arrived at Maggie's house with a bottle of Champagne. As 
Maggie was so surprise she forgot to mention that Dash was coming around, 
moving back in. One hour went by, and by this time Maggie and PJ where 
lying on the floor, starring into each others eyes, but then Dash came 
"Maggie!" 

As soon as Maggie and PJ heard Dash's voice from outside they jumped of 
the floor, but they were caught out by Dash "So is this the guy who gave 
you that necklace?" 

Maggie: Yes 

PJ: And this (As PJ reached for Maggie's hand) 

Dash: Maggie, Congratulations! 

PJ: You know Dash, you've got bad timing, and anyway, why are you here? 
Haven't you moved out? 

Maggie: Umm, PJ she's moving back in 

PJ: Really (As PJ put his arm around Maggie's shoulder) What about me? 

Dash: I don't know PJ. Anyway, when did all this happen Maggie? 

Maggie: This afternoon 

Dash: But, 

PJ: But what Dash?! 

Dash: But nothing, do I still have the sae room? (Knowing that they wanted 
some more time alone) 

Maggie: Yep 

Dash: Good then (As she walked of) 

Maggie: So you want to go on a walk? 

PJ: Sure! 

As soon as they both left Dash went straight to the phone and rang Adam, 
who was on night shift at the Station 

Adam: Mt. Thomas Police Station, Const. Cooper Speaking 

Dash: You'll never guess what has happened! 

Adam: What's happened? 

Dash: PJ preposed to Maggie and Maggie accepted. 

Adam: You've got to be kidding! 

Dash: I'm not, and you should see the ring she got, it's gorgeous! 

The next day at the station everyone knew about Maggie and PJ thanks to 
Dash,who called everyone to tell them the news. Even Chris bought the 
lunches into the station to make sure that it was true. They were all very 
happy for them both, including Tom, but you could see something was 
worring him. 

Tom: Maggie, PJ, can I have a word 

Maggie: Sure Boss 

PJ: Yeah, what is it? 

Tom: We'll it just that if you are together, I don't think the force would 
like it very much. 

Maggie: I knew this would happen PJ (As tears roled down her face) 

PJ: Look Boss, I can see where you comming from, but really 

 - Tom tries to interupt, but has no success 

Maggie: Look, have you seen anything wrong with our preformance latly. 

Tom: No, besides 

Maggie: The only thing I have done is try to protect Robbie, which I 
shouldn't of done. That didn't concern PJ. So I can't see why we still 
can't work together 

Tom: Who said anything about spilting you up, you make a good team. I just 
wanted to tell you that you should tread lightly, or someone like Monica 
might spilt you up. 

Maggie: So you won't 

Tom: Don't be silly, I'm clad to see you both together, though you did 
take us all by surprise! 

 - Tom leaves his office 

PJ: You okay? 

Maggie: Yeah, I got so wound up about nothing though 

PJ: It wasn't nothing, I know you don't want us to get spilt up, but it's 
Not going to happen 

Maggie: It better not happen 

PJ: It won't, and if it does, I'll quit the force 

Maggie: I can't let you do that PJ 

PJ: Well we can worry about that later 

 - PJ pulls Maggie towards him and holds her in his arms 

Maggie: Yeah, I guess so 

 - Maggie and PJ share a quick kiss 
 - Adam, Nick and Dash open the door and begin to tease them both 

PJ: Do you mind? 

- PJ qucikly closes the door and returns to Maggie
