Mount Thomas Police Station 5:30am

"Hello, Mount Thomas Police Station. Constable
Maggie speaking."

"Hello, this is Detective Frank Holloway from the 
Water Police."

Maggie put her hand on the receiver and said to PJ 
"Great, It's the *Water Police*."

"Oh, lucky you."

Maggie put the phone back to her ear.

"Nice to hear from you Frank."

"Yes, same. Oh, hold on a minute will you?"

He put the phone down and said to Goldie, "This is 
torture."

"There's no one else we can ask for help. They know a 
lot about these types of crimes so it will make our 
job easier asking them."

"Very well then."

Frank then picked up the phone again and said, "Sorry 
about that. Anyway Goldie and I were wondering if you 
could come up to Sydney and help us on a case?"

"Just me?"

"No, you and that partner of yours."

"How'd you know about that?"

"Well you two were assigned to work together just 
after I left Mount Thomas when I visited on holidays."

"Oh, yes." Maggie let out a sigh of relief. "So are 
you and Goldie still together?"

"I didn't tell you about that. How'd you find out about 
that?"

"Well, when you got the job there you were told you 
were going to be working with a Detective Goldstein."

"Oh," he cleared his throat. "Yes, I forgot about that."

"Okay, well, when shall we come?"

PJ was giving Maggie torturous looks so Maggie said, 
"PJ's wants to talk to you so I'll put him on so 
you can tell him. I'm sure he'd prefer to hear it from 
you."

PJ glared at Maggie as she handed him the receiver and 
said "Lucky you."

Mount Thomas Police Station
10 Days Later
9:15am


"They the worst 10 days ever in my whole entire life," 
exclaimed PJ.

"It wasn't that bad!" replied Maggie.

"Yes it was. I hate the Water Police. They are horrible,
I hate them... I hate them...
they're so... horrible!!!"

"PJ, there's something I haven't told you. Something 
very very bad."

"What is it Mags?"

"Well... did I ever tell you what my job was when 
I lived in Sydney?"
Maggie paused watching PJ's puzzled face, "Didn't you 
ever wonder how or why I know Frank Halloway? Didn't 
you realise the way we talked like old pals and
partners?"

"I don't know what you're talking about Mags".

"I...I used to...um..."

"You can tell me Mags."

"I used to work for the Water Police!" Maggie 
blurted out.

"What? This isn't funny Mags". But by looking at 
Maggie's face he knew it was all true.

Maggie ran out of the room crying and PJ fainted.
