Why Didn't You Tell Me!

 This fanfic was conceived during a dream I had and it takes place after Gold.



Maggie isn't feeling too good so she decides to go to the doctor. She finds out she's pregnant and when the doc tells her the baby was conceived around the end of
April, she knows the father's PJ. But should she tell PJ that she's pregnant? 

When Maggie gets home she tells Dash that she's pregnant, but she tells her that she can't tell anybody especially PJ. She asks Dash if she should tell PJ? Dash says
it would be better in the long run if she did tell him or he wouldn't trust her anymore if she didn't. Even after Dash told Maggie this, Maggie decided not to tell PJ at
the moment. 

They are at work and a lady comes into the station with a gorgeous newborn baby. Dash says to Maggie, "Isn't the baby cute?" Maggie says "Yes it is." Before
Maggie said anything else Dash said, "Just think you'll have your own one in a few months time." 

Dash didn't realise that PJ was standing right next to her, he said to her, 

"What are you talking about?" 

Dash said, "Nothing". 

Maggie runs out of the station to the verandah outside. 

PJ follows her and says, "So, I reckon your baby will look like you." 

Maggie: "Please leave it PJ." 

PJ: "Why didn't you tell me?" 

Maggie: "I wanted to keep it a secret until I decided what I was going to do." 

PJ: "Can I ask a question?" 

Maggie: "Depends what the question is?" 

PJ: "Is it mine?" 

Maggie: "Well I think so." 

PJ: "What do you mean you think so?" 

Maggie: "Well the doc said the baby was conceived at the end of April, and there is only one time I can think of which occurred around that time." 

PJ: "All I know it definitely involved you and me!" 

Maggie: "Yep." 

PJ: "So the baby's mine and all I can say if it's like its mother it will definitely be a great child." 

Maggie: "I was thinking the same thing about you." 

PJ: "What can I do to make you happy?" 

Maggie: "For starters, I haven't decided if I'm going to keep the baby." 

PJ: "Why not keep the baby? I mean we created it, and I honestly can tell you that this is a major shock to me, that I'm going to be a father, but I wouldn't want to
be a father and a husband to anyone else I know." 

Maggie: "What do you mean husband? I'm not asking you to marry me." 

PJ: "I'm asking you because I love you. Maggie Doyle will you marry me?" 

Maggie: "I'm not sure, You're not asking me to marry you because you just found out I was pregnant, are you?" 

PJ: "No, I've been thinking about this for a few months now, well actually since the shooting. You were the person who was there for me then, you've been there for
me during my tough times and also my good times. We've shared some good moments and some bad. That is why I am asking you, Maggie Doyle, if you'll marry
me?" 

Maggie: "Yes, I'll marry you PJ. Can I ask you a question?" 

PJ: "Fire away." 

Maggie: "Was it you who said 'I love you' to me when I was in a coma?" 

PJ: (smiling) "Now why on earth do you think I said that? Of course it was me, now come here!" 

PJ took Maggie's hand and hugged her, then he leant forward and kissed her. 

PJ: "I honestly will give you whatever you need or want to make our relationship work and also this baby that we'll be bringing into this world." 

Maggie: "I know you will." 

PJ and Maggie kiss.
