Editorial

    April 11th

  • I managed to kick my friends off one of the College PCs long enough for me to write another update. Remember, though I can't update much (There isn't really much news), I'll still answer e-mail and the Q&A column every week or so. News has it that the next Scooby doo Direct-to-video movie, Scooby Doo and The Witch's Ghost, is in the works. No, Third Eye Blind aren't doing the title theme. In their place is country singer Billy Ray Cyrus (I hope I go that right), who has supposedly been a fan so long he could do the theme from memory.

Week (Umm... lost count) -March 25th

  • Why haven't I updated? Well, I hate to say this, folks, but I'm going to college, and I won't have much time to work on this site anymore. And as for the enquiries about the scripts, yes, I do have an unfinished one. As to wether I'll ever get around to finishing it... Well, I'll post it any if I don't and let you make up the ending.

Until I get outta college, I'll be seeing you!

    Week 23 -January 17th

  • You've probably noticed the lack of new stuff, not just on this site, but on many others. It's the new year recovery period. While it's basically complete, I'll still drop by once in a while to maintain this site, and maybe even add some new stuff (Don't hold me to it). Anyway, updates aren't going to be weekly anymore (or else all I'd be doing is ranting). More like... once a month. Have a nice day, folks.

    Week 21 -January 1st

  • No, really, it's OK. I'm not dead. I've just been on holiday. Look, it's early New Year's day, and last night is just beginning to catch up with me, OK? I'd just thought I'd pop up and wish you all a Happy New Year. Can I go now? Thank you.

    Week 17 -December 6th

  • I'll admit it. I hate writing this column. It's all drivel that no one bothers to read anyway. Besides, I'm running out of cool things to say. Wondering why this site hasn't been updated? I'm on holiday. Sometime this week, The guestbook magically becomes Q and A. Got a query?, just ask me! Of course, it's going to have to double as the guestbook, because Geocities isn't going to give me another one. Also, I'd like to thank Eric Pearson for his friendly E-mail. Actually, I've been getting quite a bit of E-mail lately (In fact, I'd like to thank everyone who sent me an e-mail). I'm going to be on holiday until the end of this week, so don't expect much else. Chill out. Go outside and take a deep breath.

    Week 16 -November 29th

  • T'is a slow week indeed. I was thinking about writing another rant on the second series, but I think you've had enough of that last week. Anyway, the Alpha version of the FAQ is ready, although I can see it's going to need a LOT of work. You can also read the short paragraph I wrote about Maynard G. Krebs, to be found in Shaggy's Corner. Oh, and Interesting Facts makes a return this week, updated completely irregularly. Finally, Script 6, although about a month late (I had writer's block) is finally up. Stay awake.

    Week 15 -November 22nd

  • Oh... um... hello. Darn... I had it just a moment ago (fumble, fumble. Paper crackling). Damn. I just lost this week's news. And I was going to tell you everything about the new Scooby Doo movie, complete all the reviews, add 5000 pictures, sounds, links and videos, as well as tell you how, on "Scooby Doo On Zombie Island", you can see Daphne without any c... oops, nope, not going there. Well, you'll just have to settle for my ramblings instead, won't you? Um... well, firstly, I'm constructing a Scooby Doo FAQ, and I can't do it all by myself, so you might like to send in some contributions. Next up, the "What A Cartoon Show" just began showing some shorts (That's 15 minute cartoons, folks, not the clothing, garments, even) of the Flintstones, centering on Dino. Now, as you all know, The Powerpuff Girls started out on "The What A Cartoon Show", and now they've got their own show. Now, this may be the most far-fetched story I've ever written, but hey, it's a (very) slow week. Do you see where I'm coming from? No, of course you don't. Stop looking behind you, you fool. What I mean is, if they dug up the Flintstones, they might just dig up Scooby Doo, you know, make a few 15 minute "The NEW Scooby Doo Mysteries" style cartoons. Don't doubt it. They have the technology, they have the power. The Flintstones shorts were personally written and directed by Joseph Barbera. If Scooby has his own 15-minute skits, then... they could cast Frank Welker, Casey Kasem, Heather North, Scott Innes, and B.J Ward... and... oh! Here it is! Under the coffee mug! And now, folks, for the plot of the Scooby Doo Movie. Firstly, and I know you'll really love this, Fred and Daphne finally... hold on, folks. Out of time? Are you sure? But Mr. Takamoto... No? Ten more minutes! seconds? ...Oh, alright. Sorry, guys, but we're out of time. Maybe next week.

    Week 14 -November 15th

  • Salutations, devoted readers of MIE (yes, both of you). This week, the links section is finally finished! Take a look, and tell me what I've missed. The Scooby Doo Movies have sort of been enhanced with pictures. I've won the Scooby Site Of The Month Award For December '98! Yay! (And yes, my middle name is Daniel. Please remember, It's Jake Daniel. Not Jack Daniels, as in the liquor. For some reason, people have difficulty remembering that.) There have been a few little tweakings of the site, but nothing major. Script Six is almost finished, if anyone cares (Yeah, right). Strange, that the commercial for Zombie Island gives me the impression that Zombie Island isn't the last one they'll release. The clip is avaliable at The Official Scooby Doo Site. Take a look! See what I mean? Call me paranoid, but it does mention the Scooby files... More from your caffine-loving editor Jake 'Daniel' Matthews next week.

    Week 13 -November 7th

  • Howdy, Y'all. This's keyboard-smashin' Editor Jake Matthews, here, bringin' you the latest from the world of Scooby. This week, since so much stuff in coming in on the scooby movie, I've decided to put it in it's own section. Check it out. Does my link page look like it's been sabotaged by two-dimensional creatures? Assimilated by the borg? nope, it's being majorly updated. Heaps of links, with REVIEWS(!) are up, and there's heaps more to come. It is now my aim to have listed every Scooby site online, so mail me if you know any I haven't got! Apart from fixing some minor descrepancies (I hope I spelt that right, but it really wouldn't matter if I didn't, would it?), I have also begun putting up pictures for the Scooby Doo Movies, as well as a few real life pictures of the stars. Lucky you.

    Week 12 -October 31th

  • Happy Halloween, Folks!! From now on, I'll be bringing you the latest news on SD every week. I'd better catch up on the past week so far. If you haven't heard by now, Mike Myers, writer of Waynes World and Austin Powers, is still writing the Scooby Doo Movie, to perhaps feature Denise Richards as Daphne, Dustin Diamond as Shaggy, Matthew McConaughey as Fred, and Janeane Garofalo as Velma. It is not known how Scooby will be played. Some say they'll get a real dog (yeah, right), but my money's on a "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" Style Human/Cartoon feature, but if so, why not just make everyone else a cartoon? Hollywood bigwigs, go figure. In other news, Cartoon Network has just finished it's Scooby Doo marathon, and premiered "Scooby Doo On Zombie Island". The marathon also featured several segments, an interview with every member of the gang, a group feature thing, and a history of the gang. Good stuff, but since I'm not in America, I didn't get to see it. An "A Pup Named Scooby Doo" Marathon followed. Oh, and finally, Warner Brothers have put up a few clips on the official page. Vote for your favourite Season One episodes. The top five will be packaged into a video, titled "Scooby Doo's Greatest Mysteries". Go! Vote! Now! That's all for this week. God bless you, and I'll see you next week!

    Week 11 -October 25th

  • Hello, my public. Not much happening this week. A few more reviews up, but there are 103 left (I counted). I'm going to sleep now. Good day/night, and I'll see you next week.

    Week 10 -October 12th

  • He's watched every episode of Red Dwarf, he has a complete collection of wrestling videos, and he likes to chew his fingernails. It's none other than your tireless web editor, Jjjaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake Matthews! Script 5 is up, and a long one it is indeed. Everything that needs to be updated has been updated. Lots more crap has been thrown into Shaggy's corner. Also, I have tirelessly compiled the first interactive Quiz/Story/Work, "A Scooby Adventure" Don't forget to check it out. That's all for this week, and until we meet again, may the force be with you.

    Week 9 -October 5th

  • Hi! It's me, Jake Matthews. I retyped just about everything, because most of it sounds stupid. Don't forget to visit Shaggy's Corner, my new area for all sorts of stuff. Took down some stuff, but most of it can be found in the Corner. Script 3 has been retyped, and is now readable. It's distant relative, Script 4, is avaliable in it's primordial form. Heaps of episodes went up this week, so you might like to look there again. Unfortunatley, I still haven't seen any of The New Scooby Doo Mysteries yet, unless it's the christmas episode, to which the name I can't recall. That's all from me. Don't forget to wear clean underwear. See ya next week!

    Week 8 -September 28th

  • Hello, little one. Don't be afraid... come closer... listen to what I have to say. I've added Conspiricies and Mysteries, Did You Know, Quote Of The Week, and the Archives. The very first 10/10 review is up. Heaps of updates around the page. From now on, only Scooby and SCrappy Doo episodes will be updated, since everything else is either complete or isn't on Cartoon Network. The basic page is finished, and now I'm adding a few new sections, so errors should be at a minimum. However, the fourth script has been deleted due to plot problems, and the third script is under industrial strength plot revision, so when I'm finished it'll probably end up almost totally different. That's all from me this week. Look after yourself, and drink LOTS of coffee, and I'll see you next week (in hospital, probably).

Recommended: Coffee (And lots of it)

    Week 7 -September 23th

  • Hail. (slurp) This week has been hell. I've had lots of work to do, so I can't update much. I've put (slurp) pictures into all the (slurp) reviews I can, and put up the cast, history, as well as another script, plus (slurp) more reviews, and everything else. I think I'll go have another cup of coffee. I'll have at least 3 new sections up by next week. Promise!

    Week 6 -September 13th

  • He's got a dustbuster, and it's not set on stun. Welcome to another edition of Jake Matthew's Mysteries Inc. Editorial. Happy 29th birthday, Scooby Doo! Yes, on this day, In 1969, Scooby was born! Everything has been rewritten. The trivia is almost finished. Added Scooby's All-Star Laffalympics and A Pup Named Scooby Doo to reviews, so I have a long way to go until I'm finished.

    Week 5 -September 7th

  • Greetings. Profiles are up. I need to wait until I get a new computer to change the format, because this old computer won't run long enough without crashing. Rewrote a lot of stuff. Edited script 2. Drank Coffee.

    Week 4 -August 25th

  • Yo. I've joined a few webrings. The page is being changed to a more simple format, so expect a few errors here and there. I am personally seeing to it that everything works.

    Week 3 -August 17th

  • I've been beavering away at the scripts, the experimental Third Script is up, and editing has begun on Script one. Links and some trivia is up and running, although the trivia is nowhere near complete. Reviews are being written by the dozen. The directories problems should have all been fixed by now. If you run into any difficulties, they should be fixed soon.

    Week 2 -August 6th

  • The more stuff going up fast. The first script is up in the Scripts section, along with the first reviews. Heaps more to come in the next week. A fistful of basic pictures are up too. New directories are being created, so if some links don't work, don't blast me. Be careful where you tread. The site is still a little untidy.

  • The site is founded! I've got up the guestbook, counter, basic structure, and the Episode guide. Work begins on other sections tommorow. Stay tuned. Same Scooby time. Same Scooby channel.
