Well we did it.....Us and the Springer gang survived one last trip of the 2000/2001 season....And I must admit this was my best trip ever......
Monday's show I could tell when Steve first walked out the door at the beginning of the show that he was limping....The show was hilarious and there were lots of fights.....Mike noticed us in the audience and he ran up during a break to give me a hug and kiss on the cheek but no time to talk it was back to work......The show had started really late so he had to race off to work after the first show so we didn't get to visit with him on Monday....James, Al and John were the rest of the security team for the day.....After the show Steve came back out to talk to us....He said he had hurt his back a few weeks ago....He wanted us to stay for the second show but the audience was full and Alex and Lisa had already had to turn several people away....No problem....we would be there Tuesday night....Steve said he probably wouldn't be there but would definetly see us on Wednesday......After we talked for a while and Ven gave Steve the cutest Tshirt and mug......We said our goodbyes and got some hugs......Talked with Al and Jerry on the way out the door....We didn't bother with any pictures that day since we knew that we were going to have lots of time on Wednesday........
Tuesday was great the show was hilarious once again and we sat at the back of the audience in the middle section against the wall below the camera......this was the same place we sat on Monday....Patti (PDog) was with us on Tuesday....She was wanting to surprise Steve with something on Wednesday and we weren't quite sure how to do it....So we asked JJ for advice.....I think he was in shock....but he thought it was great.....He told us to make sure we told Todd the next day and he would take care of it....Patti also had a gift for JJ....I'm sure anyone who has watched the show knows that JJ has a weak stomach...Well she had flown in just that morning and she saved him the barf bag from the plane.....I think he was just a little embarrassed that had been shown on TV but hey.....sometimes your stomach can only take so much.....My advice was to tape it under his seat so it would always be there when he needed it...LOL...After that we found out that we had a visitor there just to see us......Thanks for the coming to see us.....you know who you are.....
Wednesday.......all I can say is OMG.....this was the best visit I have ever had with all of the guys....It gets to the point where all you wanna do is talk.....But we did take a few pics....We sat in the second row in the middle for the first show....Mel...you are just the best...he sent us to the cafeteria to wait instead of sitting in the waiting room upstairs before the first show and Alex came to get us before seating the rest of the audience and sat us right behind JJ....Well this was PDogs time......When Todd was doing his warm up....Patti showed Todd her surprise for Steve....He came to her during a break and asked if she would be willing to do Steve's Corner....Steve was there even though his back was still hurting too bad to let him work on stage....So she readily agreed and after the show.....Went behind the scenes to unveil her surprise to Steve....... Can't give the surprise away......for those who don't know......You will just have to see it for yourself when the show airs......
Talked to Steve after the first show and he made sure we were staying for the second show.....which we were......so we could visit before we left......Second show we were back in the second row and this time I got to sit behind Mike.....We laughed the entire show.....Poor Mike..I think Mike probably had his most embarrassing moment ever....LOL....can't wait to see it on TV...if it makes it after the editing......Mike seemed to be accident prone this week too....He had cut his finger splicing wires and had gotten 3 stitches....These guys are going to have to learn to be more careful......After the show....Steve came back out to visit.....While we waited for the studio to clear out so we could get pics on the stage we talked about tattoos and injuries and all kinds of things....I think this was the most Steve and I had ever talked....I had a great time....After the studio cleared out we all got on stage for pics with JJ, Al and John as our personal photographers.....
Can you tell I was afraid to touch him??? You could tell he was hurting bad and I didn't want to hurt him anymore so I tried to be careful....It felt strange to be the one with the Springer shirt on instead of Steve......
John brought us some gifts from Steve.....He had to race off to an appointment.....So John walked us out.....The gift blew me away....Thank you so much Steve !!!!
I got a pic with John before he walked us down.....I hope whenever anyone gets to go to a taping they get a chance to meet him....He is a great guy....As are all of the guys and the staff.....you guys are the best !!!!!!
