Det. Mike Logan

Det. Mike Logan

Both of his parents were alcoholics.
His father was physically abusive to his mother; she, in turn, was physically abusive to Logan during his childhood.
Probably stemming from his childhood abuse, Logan hated his mother since he was very young, but loves his father.
Logan's father was a cop.
As a child, Logan wanted to be a fireman.
Appeared to be briefly involved with a uniformed policewoman named Maggie.
He was born Catholic, but seems to have pretty much left the religion.
He was molested by his childhood parish priest, along with several other boys in the parish and many others in other parishes across the country.
One of his best friends, as a kid, was Billy Merino, who later went on to become a detective in Sex Crimes. He committed suicide.
Appears to be involved in frequent, short-term relationships with women; they're never mentioned twice.
His partner Max Greevey was shot during a case, before he could testify for a grand jury. He died. Logan went after his killer and extracted a confession at gunpoint. The killer was convicted despite this.
Logan's partner after Greevey, Phil Cerretta, was shot during a case and later transferred out of the 27th.
