1. Steph, heiress and managing director of Harper Mining begins her day with a relaxing swim at Eden with husband Dan, but...
2. ...meanwhile, Old Eden is being renovated, and Steph faints when she cosmically senses the discovery of a box of documents that will change their lives forever.
3. Jilly Stewart has been released from prison, after serving seven years on the charges consipiring to murder Steph, and the manslaughter of Jilly's lover Greg Marsden, Steph's first husband.
4. Bill McMaster brings Jilly to Eden to reveal the contents of Max Harper's will, just discovered at Old Eden. Jilly has been named as Steph's half-sister.
5. Steph and Jilly are on the porch at Eden. Steph tells Jilly that she thinks she can now forgive now, since they are sisters.
6. Jilly watches Steph and Dan asleep, and reveals her loneliness in a call to her ex-husband, Phillip. Steph's son Dennis overhears, and Jilly makes a play for Dennis.
7. In a ploy for sympathy, Jilly takes an overdose of pills, but knows she will be discovered in time.
8. Steph asks Jilly why she tried to kill herself.
9. Bill tells Steph that a mystery man, Jake Sanders, is behind a corporate raid on Harper Mining.
10. Jilly tells Steph's daughter Sarah about what life was like in prison, and Sarah tells her that she is tired of trying to live up to Steph's dream that she will be a concert pianist.
11. Jilly and Sarah go to Steph's fashion house Tara's to buy new clothes, but manager Joanna makes sure Jilly knows she is not welcome. Dennis tries to get rid of Jilly with money for a hotel room.
12. The infamous Jake Sanders is introduced, in bed with Harper corporate analyst Cassie Jones.
13. Dennis slips into the shower with Jilly, knowing that Steph will soon be there as well, and will see what Jilly is up to. Jilly returns threats of her own, as she knows Dennis is up to his neck in gambling debts. Dennis manages to hide in time.
14. Steph offers Jilly $5,000,000 as her part of Max Harper's estate, but is angered when Bill asks her to sign a release form to prevent future claims.
15. Jilly doesn't want the money, just Steph's trust and love. She "reluctantly" accepts the cheque.
16. Jilly goes to visit Jake Sanders, and wants to go into an alliance with him against Steph, "because everything she has...is rightfully mine".
17. Jake goes to visit his the grave of his brother...who it turns out was Greg Marsden.
