Gillian was on her way home at the end of the day when she saw him.
Coming up to the front door, she saw him on the welcome mat chewing on a piece of string he'd obviously picked up along the way and mewing softly.
"Hello, cat," Gillian bent down and greeted him. "You came back after all! Ryan's gonna be so happy! He didn't tell me you were so cute!"
He mewed as she stroked his black and white spotted fur and long tail saw no collar.
"Are you hungry? Would you like some milk?" she asked gently. "Well, I can't bring the milk out here and leave you for Edmund's gardeners."
She thought a minute and then looked around and when she saw that no one was around, picked up the animal, put him into her large totebag, and took him inside and snuck him up to her and Ryan's room as quickly as she could before anyone saw her!
Once inside her room, she closed the door and walked over to the bed. She opened her bag and took out the little cat and placed him on the bed.
They regarded each other carefully for a few moments and then he mewed again. He seemed to like the bed because he settled down and stretched.
"Now, about that milk," said Gillian. "Ok, you wait here and I'll go down and get it. Don't make a noise now or one of the staff will find you and throw you out."
She closed her bedroom door tight and hurried downstairs to the kitchen. The large room was buzzing with various activities getting ready for the evening meal. Peggy was there also and smiled as she saw Gillian.
"Well, now and what can we do for you?"
"Oh, I just wanted to get some milk." Gillian said casually.
"Milk? I'll get you a glass."
"Oh, a cup would be ok and could I also have a saucer, please?" she asked and realized too late what she said.
"A cup and saucer?" asked Peggy, wrinkling her brow. "Wouldn't be playing at tea party now with Maddie, would you?"
Gillian decided to play it straight.
"Oh, no. And don't worry, Peggy, I can get it myself. I just found this new hair treatment." Gillian hoped her little fib would work. Peggy was pretty shrewd.
Peggy continued to look at her in confusion but got the milk she had wanted.
Gillian decided retreat was her best bet and she nervously backed away, almost knocking over some large pans that were sitting on the edge of the butcher block counter. She was back in her room a few moments later.
"You don't know how much trouble I had explaining this- I didn't even try." Gillian told the cat. "I just hope Peggy believed me until I can talk to Edmund about keeping you." She set the saucer on the floor by the bed and poured milk from the cup into it. She got the cat and placed him by the saucer.
He looked at it for a moment and mewed.
"Go ahead, drink up." she coaxed gently.
He looked at her and then moved closer and in a few minutes, was happily drinking up the liquid.
"You were thirsty, weren't you?" Gillian asked as she pet him...
Ryan came into the entranceway and ran into Peggy.
"Hey, Peggy, what's up?" he asked.
"Edmund's temper if I don't get that mat outside replaced. How are you, Ryan?"
He said he was ok and asked what was so important about a rug.
Peggy went outside and returned and held up the welcome mat for him to see. The ends were all torn and scratched up and the fibers had a patchy, rough texture.
"What ate this?" Ryan asked in wonder.
"I don't know, but I'm sure it had something to do with that cat."
"What cat?"
Peggy informed him that Gillian had been making inquiries with the staff for days about a a cat that had gotten onto the property and might still be around.
"I think she has an idea about making him into a pet and Edmund can't stand the little things especially around the main house. I'm hoping he'll be caught and dealt with before Eddie finds out."
Ryan smothered a laugh and said, "Don't worry, Peggy. I'm sure Edmund has nothing to worry about here."
Ryan sighed and decided to try and explain to Gillian that there was no cat and he had been only teasing her. As he walked up to their room, he couldn't help wondering what had happened to the welcome mat...
Gillian heard her bedroom door open and panicked!
She pushed the saucer of milk under the bed with her foot and threw a robe that had been lying on the bed on top of her furry new friend.
"Shh!" she instructed him as he suddenly mewed at having his meal interrupted. "Try not to make a noise."
She relaxed as she saw that it was Ryan.
"Ryan, my darling, I have good news!" she jumped up and came over to him. The cat, meanwhile, was busy trying to claw his way out from under the robe.
"Gillian," Ryan told her taking her hand. "Baby, about this cat you're asking everyone about-"
"I know!" she cut him off, excitedly. "That's my news! I found him!"
"Found what?" he asked. She looked over towards the bed and when he followed her gaze, he saw the robe on the floor.
After a few seconds, it moved towards him!
"Gillian..." he began, not liking where this was going.
She laughed and led him by the hand over to the bed.
She bent down and lifted the robe and revealed the cat!
"That's a cat- a real cat! Where did he come from, Gilli?" he asked, staring.
"You know, you found him!"
"But, I didn't- Princess, we can't keep him here! You're gonna have to get rid of him- Edmund's gonna go through the roof!"
"Oh, we can handle him." Gillian shrugged as if that were only a minor detail that could be taken care of with no problems.
"We?" he asked and then it dawned on him what she really meant.
"No, Gillian, " he informed her. "No way. I'm not in this! You're family, but he can still kick me out! No!"
Ryan tried to stand his ground and remain stubborn, but Gillian was determined to have her way. She came over and put her arms around him and bit her bottom lip in the way that drove him insane with desire!
"Please?" she asked, softly.
"No," he insisted, but his body had a mind of its own when it came to his Princess and his arm was already going around her. "That's not going to work, Gillian."
He tried to sound firm, but he was already losing this badly.
She leaned over and kissed his ears and her hands were already under his shirt, stoking his chest.
"Princess..." he kissed her softly on the lips and then lifted her onto the bed and then onto his lap as he sat down.
She laughed as he lifted her little knit top up and over her head and tossed it aside. He pushed the strap of her wisp of a lace bra aside kissed her shoulder.
He forced himself to pull away slowly and smiled wryly at his 'tower of resistance' for Gillian. She had had him the whole time...and knew it. She knew that getting Ryan's permission wasn't going to be any trouble for her.
"Edmund's never gonna to let you keep him, Sweetie." he tried to tell her gently.
"Can't we try?" she asked, her arm around his shoulder. "Look at him, Ryan. He's so cute!"
The cat stared at them in fascination.
"You've already named him, haven't you..." Ryan said knowingly.
"Sajan- it's east Indian for beloved. " she said dramatically. "A beloved for my beloved."
She bent to kiss him now- not for the cat but only for him.
Her lips were warm and moist and he tasted them eagerly.
Ryan laughed at her pagentry for something so simple as a pet's nam and succummed to another kiss from Gillian as she got up from his lap.
He then helped her put her top back on again.
"Gillian, you look like you've lost a little weight, Baby." he remarked, fingering the area of her stomach. "Are you ok?"
Her skin quivered as he touched her and it was on the tip of her tougue to tell him now, but no. She wanted to be sure and then she would share what she knew in her heart was there.
He looked up and caught her staring at him in the most dreamy like manner.
"Gillian?" he called to her.
She forced herself to move a little away and laughed. "I'm fine. I'm just excited about Sajan."
Little Sajan curled himself around Ryan's leg as if on cue at the mention of his name as if pleading his case to Mr. Lavery.
Ryan picked him up.
"You know, he's already chewed up the mat at the front door- Peggy can't stand him!" Ryan pet him and stroked his fur.
"He was hungry- I'm sure he won't do it again." she defended him and hoped she was right.
"Well, if we're going to keep him, we have to get him to a vet and get a flea collar for him." Ryan surrendered.
"Absolutely!" Gillian agreed cheerfully, reaching over to touch Sajan behind the ears.
Ryan released Sajan and he began to wander around the room to explore.
"I'll talk to Edmund," Ryan grumbled. "But we'll have to keep him up here until I do." Gillian smiled as she embraced him again.
"I don't have to go and find him right now, do I?" asked Ryan, seductively. He pulled her gently next to him on the bed.
"I guess it can wait until later..." Gillian said as he guided her hands under his shirt again. "He's not sleeping in this bed with us." Ryan insisted as Gillian pushed him onto his back. She shoved his shirt up above his ribs and began to kiss his bellybutton.
"We'll see..." Gillian replied as she watched Ryan's chest rise and fall in excitement. After planting several kisses on his stomach, she released the button on his pants and wanted to work on the zipper.
Ryan guided her back to his abdomen and said hoarsely, "Kiss me, Baby...you make me feel so good!"
She kissed his flesh again and slowly massaged his chest.
Sajan mewed from under a table by the window and played with Gillian's robe, more fascinated with that than with gawking at his new master and mistress as he heard their whispered words from the other side of the room.
"You know, eventually, I'm going to have to win one of these arguments, Gilli." he teased.
He pulled down the zipper on the side of her cigarette pants.
"I'll let you win one someday." she sighed.
Her top was off again in moments and he was kissing her earlobe as he tossed the garnment onto a nearby chair and Sajan went after it in glee.
"On the other hand," she said excitedly as she helped him with his shirt. "I think you've already won..."
He nibbled on each one of her fingers as she reached up to hold his face.
A little while later, she was sure she had been the one to actually surrender as she felt herself drowning in the pleasure of his loving!... end of part 41 (to be continued...)
Next time: a little backtracking for me as I try and revisit the time Ryan and Gillian created Janie... |
