It's not Buffy.
I mean, when you think about it, I'm not really Buffy's sister, but she sacrificed herself to save the world. The world including me.
I don't think the robot could make that kind of sacrifice. I don't think it would know how.
And it keeps breaking. Buffy would never break, never say the stupid things this robot does. She'd never be so perky, though there are times the robot's perkiness is a change from Buffy's continual dourness.
I guess I'm being bitter.
So right now, I'm trying to do my homework and Willow's trying to fix the Buffy-bot. Spike's helping me, his back directly to the Buffy-bot. I heard him and Willow yelling earlier, about her constantly working on that robot in front of him. He hates it, wishes we would leave everything that reminded us of Buffy alone for now.
Willow yelled back, saying that without the robot, the demons would take over Sunnydale.
Spike said if that happened, which he didn't think it would, they could find some other way to beat them.
Willow said he'd probably just take me and run.
Spike said Willow just wanted to win the Nobel Prize because of the stupid robot. And she was right; if I was in danger, he'd get as far away as he could.
Willow just stood there, then huffed over to the Buffy-bot and started working, mumbling about how nobody appreciated anything she did, how she'd helped take care of bills and made dinner and taken care of the robot.
Especially that robot. Nobody appreciated it.
I can't just yet. I'd rather have Buffy here.
Spike's trying to help me understand poetry, something he said he wasn't all that good at when he was human but learned about while being a vampire. Now he's human again, with a conscience and a soul...Buffy gave it to him with her death.
He's my guardian now. He's the one to protect me, make sure things are okay with me and I'm being taken care of. I kind of like that. He says I'm the missing part of his life...but I think he means Buffy. At least now he has a purpose and won't do something stupid. I hope.
"I can make an optional program, one that we can access through a remote control," Willow said, talking to herself out loud. Spike was grating his teeth. He wasn't happy.
He hasn't been happy since Buffy died. I don't blame him.
Neither have I.
