Yodeling Abby

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived with her grandfather on the top of a mountain. There were no other little girls on top of the mountain, and all this one particular girl had to play with was a rock, a stick, and a goatherd.

The goatherd's name was Sam, and he was a few years older than the little girl (who's name was Abby). But every day, they would run up to the top of the mountain and yodel together until the sun went down.

One day, Sam didn't come, and Abby was very worried. She waited at the spot they always met at all day, yodeling by herself. The next day, the same thing happened. A week went by, and Sam was nowhere to be seen.

Finally, as Abby sat in her spot eight days after Sam's disappearance, she caught sight of someone coming up the path, and heard the familiar clang of the bells around the goat's necks. Sam had returned! Abby was overjoyed, and ran along the path to greet him.

Only there was something different about Sam today. He didn't seem to recognize her, and when they reached the top of the mountain, he couldn't remember any of their yodeling tunes. Finally, Abby broached the subject of his disappearance. "Where have you been the past week?" she asked him.

Sam frowned, trying to remember. "I can remember a lot of bright lights, and strange looking creatures who stuck me with lots of needles," he told her, showing her the scars on his arm. "And that's not all..."

The next morning, the newspaper arrived on Abby's grandfather's doorstep. And the headline, blazing across the front, read, "Local Boy Abducted By Aliens Was Anally Probed."

The End

The moral of this story is: Yodeling is evil.
