Dawson buttoned up his shirt in the mirror and practically danced around the bedroom to the music. He was elated over the impending birth of his and Joey's twins. Joey was now about eight months along and she had never looked more beautiful in Dawson's eyes. The past few months had been very busy for the couple. Joey was tying up loose ends at school and franticly writing lesson plans for the teacher that would be taking her place during her maternity leave. Dawson spent his days working on his directorial debut, "Through Glass Clearly," but always made sure that he was home for visits to the doctor's office and Lamaze classes. When they were at home, Dawson waited on Joey hand and foot, which at times, annoyed her, but other times, the pregnancy wore her out so much that she was grateful.

"Almost ready Baryshnikov?" Joey giggled as she waddled into the room and caught her husband whirling around the room.

Dawson blushed, but pushed his embarrassment to the side and carefully took Joey in his arms. Joey sighed and leaned her head on his shoulder as they danced slowly around her room. He lifted her chin up and smiled at her. Looking her in the eyes he said, "I love you." He kissed her and brought his hand to her swelling stomach, "And I love you guys too," he said, referring to the twins.

Joey smiled and her heart swelled. She was so happy that Dawson was just as excited as she was about the pregnancy. She laughed softly as she thought of how he had freaked out a little when he heard the news. Now, he couldn't be happier. "I love you too," she said kissing him lightly, "but we have to get going, or we're going to be late! Who's picking us up at the airport?"

"My mom and dad. Pacey and Jen are too busy and your sister and Bodie are both working, so my parents gladly jumped at the opportunity," Dawson replied as he grabbed their suitcases.

"Great. I can't wait to see everyone."

Later at the airport…

"Dawson, Joey, over here!" a frantic voice called out through the crowds.

Dawson and Joey looked to the voice and saw Gail and Mitch waving franticly at their son and daughter-in-law. They made their way over to them.

"Mom, Dad!" Dawson exclaimed as he wrapped his parents in a hug.

"Oh honey it's so good to see you. You stayed away too long," Gail said. Taking notice of her daughter-in-law, she smiled. "Oh Joey. You look absolutely radiant. Pregnancy does wonderful things for you. I can't believe you two are making us grandparents!" she said as she hugged Joey.

"Thank you," Joey said.

"No thank you," Mitch said, "You both have made us so proud!"

Joey blushed as Dawson hugged her and they made their way to pick up their luggage. On the way back to the Leery household, Gail and Mitch bombarded the couple with baby questions. They were relieved when they finally rolled into Capeside. Mitch helped Dawson with their bags and then he left Joey and Dawson alone. Joey sat on the window seat and stared out at the creek as Dawson hung up their clothes. He eyed Joey who looked to be deep in thought.

"What are you thinking about?" he questioned.

"I was just wondering how many times I rowed down that creek and climbed up that ladder to see you. Too many to remember, probably. I don't know if I like the idea that our kids might be crawling into windows someday," Joey said thoughtfully.

"Jo, honey, we were completely innocent," Dawson said as Joey gave him a doubtful look, "Okay, well the first fifteen years we were. Don't worry. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Is that all that's bothering you?"

"Yeah. Maybe it's just pre-wedding jitters," Joey said.

"But Jo, you're not the one getting married!"

"I know. I just have a weird feeling about tomorrow. It'll pass. So, when are we meeting Jen and Pacey?"

"Well there's not going to be an actual rehearsal, since it's going to be such a small wedding. Since we are the only ones standing up in it, they are just going to give a brief overview of how the ceremony will go over dinner. Sound good?"

"Yeah, I'm starved. Chocolate chip cookies dipped in peanut butter and whipped cream sounds good right now, doesn't it?" Joey asked.

"Um, no and I doubt that the Icehouse serves that, but whatever floats your boat. What happened to my usually health conscious wife?"

"She got pregnant, thanks to you," Joey teased.

"Best thing I've ever done. Next to marrying you, of course."

"Nice save."

"I try," Dawson smiled as he bent down to kiss his wife.

Later at the Icehouse…

"JOEY! My God you're as big as a house!" Bessie exclaimed as she hugged her sister.

"Thanks Bess. I appreciate it."

"You look great though. How are you feeling?"

"A little tired, but I'll make it. Only one more month to go," Joey said wistfully.

"And how's my favorite brother-in-law?" Bessie asked, turning her attention to Dawson.

"Wonderful. How are you? How are Bodie and Alex?" Dawson inquired.

"I'm doing pretty good. They're great. Bodie took Alex to his soccer game and they will be by later. Jen and Pacey are waiting for you guys at table six. You know where that is still, right Jo?"

"How could I ever forget. Thanks Bess," Joey said as they made their way to their friends.

"There she blows!" Pacey exclaimed when he caught site of Joey, receiving a punch on the arm from Jen.

"Bite me Pacey," she replied, "Really Jen, I think you should rethink marrying this cretin."

"I'm just kidding Jo. You look really good. Big, but good," Pacey said with a smile as he hugged Joey and then Dawson.

Over the course of the meal, the four friends discussed how the ceremony would take place. It was to be a small ceremony, held at the beach with family and some close friends at their sides. It would be short, sweet, and to the point with a small reception at the Icehouse afterwards. Joey was exhausted, so they made their way home shortly after dinner.

The next day…

"Jo, are you sure you're going to be able to stand through the whole wedding? You've been tiring awfully easy lately honey, and I-"

"Dawson would you relax? It's a short ceremony. I'll be fine!" Joey interrupted him.

"Okay, but I think I'm going to put a folding chair up where you are going to be standing, just in case. I'm going up there now, okay? I love you," Dawson said as he kissed her.

"I love you too," Joey replied as she turned her attention to Jen.

"You look wonderful. You're going to knock the cretin's socks off," she said.

"I hope so. I'm nervous Jo. Were you nervous on your wedding day?" Jen asked apprehensively.

"A little. But all the nervousness subsided when I looked up there and saw Dawson waiting for me. Believe me, you have nothing to be nervous about. The beach looks wonderful!"

"Thanks. It took a lot of work, but I like the end product," Jen said, surveying her surroundings. The spot they had chosen had a perfect view of the sun setting. White chairs were set up in rows surrounding the 'aisle' which was a long rose colored velvet carpet. At the front, were Pacey, Dawson, and a Justice of the Peace now stood, there was an white archway with roses lace delicately through it. Two enormous vases of red roses sat at each side of the archway. Then there was Pacey. Jen looked at him and smiled. He always made her smile. He looked very handsome in his tuxedo. Pacey looked down the aisle and saw Jen looking at him. "I've never seen her look so beautiful," he said to Dawson. Jen was wearing a form fitting white satin gown that poofed slightly at her hips. It was sleeveless and had roses etched into the material. Her hair was swept into a french twist. "Just wait until she gets pregnant," Dawson replied as he gazed at his wife.

The wedding march started and Joey made her way up the aisle, meeting her husband three quarters of the way. They looked at each other and the memories of their wedding day came flooding back to them. He smiled and whispered, "I love you," before they parted to their respective sides.

Jen took her father's arm nervously and started up the aisle. She looked at Pacey, hoping that he would make all of the nervousness go away. Joey was right. As he looked at her and smiled, her worries all flew away. She reached Pacey and her father kissed her on the cheek. Pacey and Jen looked in each other's eyes and joined hands.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Pacey Witter and Jennifer Lindley in the bonds of matrimony. I ask now, is there anyone gathered here today who sees fit that these two shall not be married, let them speak now, or forever hold your peace."

"Oh!" Joey said, placing a hand on her stomach and blushing at the realization of what she had just done.

Dawson looked at her oddly. "Sorry, I'm alright. Please continue." Realizing what was wrong, Dawson pointed swiftly to the chair he had set up for her. Joey, not wanting to ruin the wedding, obeyed.

"Do you, Pacey, take Jennifer to have and to hold, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, as long as you both shall live?"

"I do," Pacey replied, looking into Jen's eyes.

"And do you, Jennifer, take Pacey to have and to hold, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, as long as you both shall live?

"I do," Jen said with tears in her eyes.

Dawson eyed Joey who was breathing heavily. He wished the ceremony would end quickly so he could tend to his wife.

"The rings please?"

Dawson gave the justice of the peace the rings, keeping his eyes on his wife the whole time. She gave him a look that clearly said, "I'll be fine. Only a few more minutes."

Pacey slipped the ring on Jen's finger and said, "Jen, you have made me happier then I could ever imagine. You make me laugh, cry, and love and I thank you for it. With this ring, I thee wed, with this gold and silver, I thee cherish."

Jen had tears in her eyes as she slipped Pacey's ring on his finger and said, "From day one, you have always been there for me. You have been my savior and gotten me through many of the rough patches, and from this moment on, we will face them together. I love you. With this ring, I thee wed, with this gold and silver, I thee cherish."

"And now, by the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride," he concluded.

Pacey let out a whoop of joy as he kissed his bride. Joey let out a cry of pain. Dawson ran over to her.

"Are you okay?" he asked worriedly.

"No dear, I'm not. Seems that our babies want to make an early entrance into the world. Oh, my water just broke," Joey moaned.

A crowd had gathered around them, and Pacey and Jen were still kissing. Upon hearing Joey's moans, Pacey broke away, "Call a plumber Jo!"

"Pacey!" his wife reprimanded him.

"Oh, hello Mrs. Witter. I was only kidding, Mrs. Witter. I like the sound of that," he said, gazing into her eyes.

"Me too," she replied as they became lost in another kiss.

"Okay, we have to get her to a hospital. They built a new one a few towns over, right?" Dawson asked his mother.

"AAAAHHHH!" Joey screamed, "Dawson, they want out. Soon."

Dawson tried to remain calm for his wife. Mitch drove his Explorer to the place were Joey sat on the beach. They managed to help Joey into the car and the couple drove off to start their new adventure as parents as the other couple stood kissing on the beach, oblivious to the excitement around them.
