I read a fanfic by ? (haven't found it again yet - if its yours drop me a line) based on Tears of Pearls and called that, but didn't hear the song until later when a friend played it //I was looking at the cover and practically jumped for the fast forward button when I spotted the title// I *loved* it, the lyrics are *so* appropriate.
Then there is the song by enigma;
I had heard this before but not or a while and when *another* friend played it I *heard* the words for the first time....and gaped!! For me it is referring to Tom and his past and his future with Chakotay.....//sigh//

Okay, I'm only writing this now cause I'm listening to it on tape while I work *grimace* but the two instrumental pieces off the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack, 'Kissing You' and the 'Balcony scene' have me whimpering every time. Dunno why. For some inexplicable reason I have the wierdest vision of Voyager coming home to this music (particularly the last one), but minus two of the crew, Tom and Chakotay. They gave up their lives in order to get Voyager home. Together. They found each other at the very end, they were together at the very end (I'm not sure how, blown up on a shuttle o sommat.../:\ )but they were together. They found each other at last....
I'm gonna stop there before I melt into a puddle on my keyboard. Boy can I ramble! It might get turned into a story one day...when I get the time but at present other things beckon my attention //work - I know I know, I'm getting back to it...*grump*//
