dreamt by Eden
~I woke up from this dream sweating and VERY freaked out. It's actually what inspired me to start my First Saurian Overthrow fanfic-in-progress (top secret!). I don't know why though, they're completely unrelated...~
Amy, my roommate from camp, came to visit me, and we were discussing our favorite camp memories. We talked about all the reasons we both hate Titanic, then we went down to dinner. We went out for pizza and got our hands gunky from gum, so in the dorm bathroom, we and some other girls sang a song about when people stick their gum under the tables.
At home, my mom, dad, cousin, brother, and I left in the new van. My brother was comparing the freeway to climbing Mt. Everest. We walked on to a street not far from the freeway to a store. When we got in, I realized I had forgotten to bring my regular glasses. So I had to walk around wearing my perscription shades. We turned a corner and I bumped into a boy I know. I just don't remember who he was now. The clerks at the counter stared singing "The Yodeling Veterinarian of the Alps," so we started polka dancing. We decided to leave via the back door, and it was like a Narnian gateway; we got outside, and there was snow everywhere! I blinked, then realized: We were on old Puckworld! ("old" simply meaning before Dragaunus, not before Drake Duquesne.)
My mom and dad skated up to us and said to meet them back at the store in half an hour. I saw two kids (not Ducks) who looked like my friends from church. I told them who I thought they were, and they laughed at me because I mentioned that my friends were from *church.* So I was mad. Then I met a Duck named Terrance. He and some of his friends got together with my brother and cousin and me for a hockey game. After a while, the other Ducks went somewhere with my brother and cousin, and I went exploring with Terrance.
We ended up heading through some alleyways into the "bad part of town." It was more elevated, and when we went into a deserted building, we hit a dead end, in the corridor that went down at a 45 degree angle for about 20 feet, then hit a rather rough-looking wall. And no railings. Not a safe place to go with ice skates on. But Terrance lost his balance trying to see what the heck was on the wall (it looked like it was made out of rough, hard rock with pieces of broken glass sticking out) and he went flying down the incline! I cringed as he hit, expecting a "splat" and blood or something, but instead, I heard an odd crashing sound, like folding chairs falling. I tool a deep breath and plunged after him. It was really cool, like rollerblading down this same kind of incline by my house and being stopped by the grass and the roadblock. From the bottom, it looked like the very back of a bleachers stand. We grabbed both ends and pulled it up, getting traction from our toe picks (What toe picks?!? We didn't have those before!). When we got back to the top, we looked down to find bleachers on a track observing an underground stadium. But before we had a chance to explore, we both heard an evil cackling. Then, I don't know if they morphed *out* of the chairs, or if then came out of the old stadium, but either way, they came. Big monsters. Intelligent beings simply wishing to accomplish evil. It was like I could *feel* the evil oozing from them. I have no memory of if they were Saurian henchmen long forgotten, or just a gang of renegade Ducks; I only remember that we ran.
Fear, run, fear, run, I thought, no other goal than to get away from these things. The other Ducks, my cousin and brother, Ryan, and Darcy joined us. We ran on top of the roof of our church and dropped into the lobby. We ran into the sanctuary, thinking we had lost them. Out of breath, I slowly walked to where my dad was and sat down. I tried to warn him, but he didn't believe me. The pastor just kept on going. Then this tiger walked in. Oh great. He was hungry. He walked right up to me. I was sooooooo freaked out!!! But all he did was grab my pizza and stalk off, growling. I heaved a HUGE sigh of relief. A picky tiger, I thought. I turned around to see my uncle sitting behind me. Now I was POed. I immediately started yelling at him, and trying to warn him.
"You remember taking us to Puckworld! You're not going to admit it, I know, but you remember. Just listen!"
Just then Mallory rushed in, out of breath. So out of breath that she couldn't tell us why she was here. But I knew. I could hear those things even now, storming the parking lot.
Everyone was flooding into the hall, but in that big blur and jumble, I remember...
the Ducks taking friends aboard the Aerowing and Migrator,
four young Jedi Knights, lightsabers blazing in hand, defending the helpless,
Han Solo taking refugees aboard the Falcon...
The next thing I knew, we were safely in the air, and Han was talking with a Duck leader in Dath Zamirii, trying to find out what happened. And then, I'm half-concious, knowing I need to get up, but trying to remember all this before--
Mom wakes me up.
