Solid Rock videos began in March 1992 with about two dozen videos and a lot of ideas about what the future of contemporary Christian music could be. Now, more than four years later, we have almost 200 videos in our library, and many of the ideas of where this modern Jesus music could (or might) be have come to realization.

Now we are about to embark on what very well could completely change the face of modern music, television, and evangelism. The Internet, and more importantly the World Wide Web, could ultimately change the face of communications, as we can combine video, audio, and virtual-reality in bite-sized chunks, ready for our ever hungry consumption. Soon, if not already as you are reading this, Web surfers can grab a file, rich with video and audio, and downstream it to their monitor in real time. No need to down load a huge file before we can enjoy the benefit of someone else's talents. Just click and go. And if you don't like what you've grabbed onto, then *click* your gone.

It is my hope and prayer that Christians will make good use of this technology. That we would step in and claim this medium. But more important, in this age of instant judgement, that the message would be combined with the best of images and audio. Too often, I feel, we as Christians are afraid to take the vanguard in new media.
