Born in Buffalo, New York, Wendie Malick began her acting career on the stage in her home state after a brief stint working for then-Congressman Jack Kemp in Washington, D.C., and a five-year stint as a fashion model in New York, Paris and Madrid.

Malick garnered four CableACE Awards as Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her portrayal of Judith Tupper Stone on the comedy series Dream On. Her other television series work includes regular roles as Dr. Brigette Blaine in Trauma Center and the tyrannical Zoe Helstrom in Good Company. Additionally, she has had recurring roles on NYPD Blue, Anything But Love, Baywatch and Kate & Allie.

Malick has made numerous television guest appearances on series such as Cybill, NBC's Seinfeld, L.A. Law, Civil Wars and NBC's Mad About You. She also starred in the television movies Paper Dolls, Dynasty: The Miniseries, Apollo II, Perfect Body and cable TV's North Shore Fish, in a role she originated on stage.

Her theatrical background includes Guys and Dolls, Mame, Bah! Humbug, the premiere of Israel Horovitz's North Shore Fish and the Los Angeles production of Oliver Hailey's Round Trip, for which she was nominated for the Artistic Directors Award as Best Lead Actress in a Play in 1995.

Malick stars as a peripatetic "trailer trash" woman who leaves a trail of wreckage in the upcoming independent film Jerome, which was executive produced by her Just Shoot Me co-star, David Spade. She also stars in the upcoming independent feature Divorce. Her additional film credits include The American President, Scrooged, Mr. Mike's Mondo Video, Funny About Love and Bugsy.

Malick lives in the Santa Monica mountains with her husband, Richard Erickson, two horses, four dogs and a cat. The couple met while constructing houses for impoverished families in Mexico and travel annually to a remote village in Africa where Erickson built a medical facility. Her birthday is December 13.
