Episode Guide
(SERIES PREMIERE) Dr. Sloan Parker, motivated by intellectual curiosity and the need to solve the murder of her mentor, confirms recent findings that a new life-form has arisen. Her quest brings her together with FBI Agent Tom Daniels (Adam Storke), an individual whose access to the new beings adds an element of danger to their relationship.
As Sloan delves further into the mystery surrounding this new species, she discovers how dangerous they really are: Lynch escapes from prison and goes on a killing spree.
After escaping from prison, a homicidal Lynch returns to the cave with two young women as his captives. When Sloan and Daniels find him there, Sloan becomes much more aware of the dangers and powers of this species. Guest starring is Roger Howarth as Randall Lynch. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to airdate.
With Tom’s help, Sloan and Ed journey to the desert of Mexico to try to find the birthplace of the new species. Hunted from the moment they arrive, they uncover horrifying clues to the species’ origin. Meanwhile, a mysterious stranger from Tom’s past emerges.
Attwood brings the pillar from the secret city back to the United States so that Sloan, Ed and Tom can investigate its meaning. With its arrival come new dangers for all of them.
When a bar is blown up killing fifteen people, Tom suspects this random act was not random at all. As he and Sloan investigate, they discover Tom’s former mentor is deeply involved. Meanwhile, Ed is sought out by the young woman who witnessed Lynch’s suicide and who is struggling with inner demons which have surfaced since the incident.
After Lisa is captured, Lewis retaliates by taking Sloan to this hideout. Tom tracks him down. But rather than kill the both of them, Lewis devises a plan to make Sloan and Tom the most wanted fugitives in the country. Meanwhile, Ed discovers that Kelly’s DNA has been altered, which raises new questions about the new species’ biological weaponry.
Tom and Sloan are on the run from the law since Lewis has convinced the world that they are the leaders of a murderous clan. In hiding, Sloan and Tom get closer, but -- when she is captured -- she becomes confused by his deviant actions. Meanwhile, Ed and Attwood perform an autopsy on Kelly’s body after Ed sees something moving in her corpse.
The new species is making its move to destroy a whole generation of human children by contaminating the juice they drink in schools. Sloan and the others must find the perpetrators and learn how to stop their evil scientific advances. And Tom gets help from one of his own, who reveals himself through Atwood’s secret contact.
