
FRANKIE R. FAISON:
Detective Ray Peterson
Born in Newport News, VA, Frankie Faison started acting in grade school plays and went on to study theater at Illinois Wesleyan University and at NYU.
A veteran actor, Faison has done extensive work in films, television and theater. His numerous motion picture credits include "Silence of the Lambs," "Mississippi Burning," "Do the Right Thing," "Coming to America," "Manhunter," "The Money Pit," "Ragtime," "The Chosen," "Rich Man's Wife," "Mother Night" "Roommates" and "Sommersby."
On television, he starred in the comedy series "True Colors," and guest-starred on "Cosby," "New York Undercover," and "Law and Order," In addition, he has been featured in the mini-series "The Langoliers;" the made for television movies "Sessions" and "Common Ground" as well as in the PBS specials "King Lear" and "Tomorrow's Families."
His theater credits include "Getting Away With Murder," "The Shadowbox," "Fences" -- for which he received a Tony Award nomination and a Drama Desk Award nomination -- "Of Mice and Men," "The Iceman Cometh," and "Broadway, Broadway." Off-Broadway, he earned and Audelco Award for his role in "Forbidden City."
Married for 20 years, Faison has three daughters, ages 19, 16 and 12. In his spare time, he enjoys dancing, playing tennis and spending time with his family and friends.
