VINCENT VENTRESCA:
as Dr. Ed Tate
Vincent Ventresca was born and raised in Indianapolis, and received his undergraduate degree at Indiana University, majoring in theater and psychology. He began acting while in college when -- as a basketball player -- he auditioned for a role in the feature film "Hoosiers," which was filming in his town. Even though he didn't get the part, Gene Hackman's performance in the movie inspired him and encouraged him to become an actor.
Ventresca's television credits include regular roles on the series "Boston Common," "Crazy Love," "Medicine Ball" and "Friends"(recurring). He has also starred in the made-for-television movies, "The Surrogate," "Degree of Guilt," and "Murder in Beverly Hills."
He has been seen in the movie "Romy & Michele's High School Reunion" with Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow, as well as in the independent film "Donuts." His list of regional and local theater credits is extensive.
Happily married for three years, Ventresca and his wife, Dianne, now live in Los Angeles but he is still loyal to Indiana basketball as a fan of the Hoosiers and the Pacers.
