THANK YOU's........
Not all that long ago, I was computer stupid. But as all things go in life we learn something new each and every day, that's why I have this Thank You Page. Along the way there have been those who have helped me learn something or inspired me to do so, so this is for them.....
First I would like to thank my Mom. My mother began her career as an Executive Secretary when I was a small child and Mag-card was one of the first computers I heard her talk about. As an adult Mom taught me the first things about a computer, like how to run one, how to load a disk on to the hard drive, you know all the basics. She could make a computer sing.
Secondly I would like to thank my friend Ken for helping me learn about Windows and other programs that make life easier. And teaching me how to think before acting on a computer.
Now I would like to thank an good friend , Cynthia Schmidt. When I first learned about computers and ventured into the world of the Internet, Cyn's website, THE GILLIAN ANDERSON WEB SITE, was one of the very first web site's I found when I started on AOL. From that time Cyn has been an inspiration in the design of my website's, even though I will never venture into the realm of Class and Distinction that Cyn has with, as far as I am concerned, "The best website on the Internet." From our first phone conversation to the present, Cynthia has been a helpful teacher and friend, and I am truly greatful for her wisdom and talents. I am also very proud of Cynthia for her work with NF, Inc. (Neurofibromatosis) Her work with NF and talent that shows through her website, Cyn has accomplished the amazing. This year, 1998, marks the 2nd Annual GAWS Fundraiser for NF, with the first two weeks totals in the fundraiser at over $18,400.00+, and a grand total of over $23,000.00, beating last years grand total of $6,500.00, and this June 4th, 1998 at the 10th Anniversary Celebration Dinner in Bethesda Maryland, Cynthia will be honored with "The Humanitarian of the Year Award." An award that Cynthia greatly deserves. Besides maintaining and operating the GAWS site, Cyn also maintains the site for NF, Inc. A task done with love in hand.
Thank you Cyn for your inspiration and friendship. I am truly honored to know you and proud to be a member of the GAWS Fan Club.
Now I would like to thank my husband and daughter for putting up with me in my learning of computers, scanning, and HTML's. Not only have you tolerated me with the many hours it took for me to understand what the heck I was doing, but aloud me to rant and rave when it didn't work right the first few times. Thank you......
