Pacey was Joey's boyfriend one year ago. Dawson also went out with Joey many times and broke up with her many times too. He still loved her and Pacey did too... But they don't know who Joey loves. Pacey thinks that Joey loves Dawson and Dawson does too. What do you think?

It's 9:00 p.m. Everything is calm in Capeside. It's a quiet evening. Jack and Andie are at their grand-mother’s house for the week and Jen is at football camp with her boyfriend, Henry. Dawson is watching a movie, Varsity Blues. Joey is watching Alexander with Bessie. Pacey is fooling around by the creek. He wants to go see Joey but he doesn't want to bother her.

Dawson has just finished his movie, he loved it! He really liked the actor’s work. He says that James Van Der Beek is going be the next Al Pacino. He picked up the phone and called Joey.

The phone rings. “Ring, Ring!”

“Answer the phone Joey, it's probably for you,” says Bessie.

“Hello?”

“Hey Joey! It's me. How are you doing?”

“I'm a little tired but I’m okay. How about you?”

“I'm fine thanks. I just finished watching a great movie, Varsity Blues, with James Van Der Beek. I don't know if you have heard of him but he’s a pretty good actor.”

“I don’t remember him, but sure.”

“Well Joey, I called you because I wanted to go to the restaurant for a drink. Do you want to come with me?”

“Why not? I’ll see you there in ten minutes. Bye!”

“See ya!”

Joey goes to her room, puts on a sweater and takes her bag. She tells her sister Bessie that she's going with Dawson to the restaurant for a little drink and that she will get back around 10:30. “I have to see Pacey at the creek at 10:00 after I see Dawson. Good-bye Bessie. See Ya Alex!” She kisses her brother and sister, and she leaves.

Ten minutes later, she arrives at the restaurant. Dawson is already there, waiting for her.

“Hey.”

“Hi Joey.”

“Excuse me Dawson. I have to go to the washroom. I won’t be long!” She puts her bag on the table and goes to the bathroom. Dawson waits. A few seconds later, he discovers a note in Joey's bag and he reads it.

Joey, I need to meet you at 10:00 at the creek, just like you asked me. You said that you need to tell me something... I don't know what but I hope it's going be what I think... I will wait for you... Pacey.

When Joey comes back, she sees Dawson reading her note. “Oh my god Joey... you still love him!”

“No Dawson! It's not that what you think!”

“Go! Just go! Joey, I said go, go meet him!”

“Dawson! I don’t want to lose you! You’re my best friend. You’ve always been, ever since we were children.”

“Our friendship isn’t the issue. I love you!”

“Dawson, I still want you as my friend! You are a big part of my life, I have known you since I was 3 years old. I don't want to lose you or your family, they seem like mine too.”

“It's okay Joey, I understand... but now just go...” Joey runs away and Dawson starts to cry like a child. He knows that Joey is still in love with Pacey... but he doesn’t care. He wants more than friendship. He's really in love with Joey, and it will be forever. But she's in love with another guy and Dawson has to face it.

Five minutes later, Dawson is still crying at the restaurant. A few seconds later, his father comes in for a coffee. When Mitchell comes to order, he sees Dawson crying.

“Dawson? What’s wrong?”

“It's Joey... she doesn’t love me.”

“Well Dawson, I hate to say it, but it’s no surprise to me.” Dawson looks into his father’s eyes.

“What do you mean?”

“Son, this isn’t difficult to understand. You went out with Joey lots of times and you broke up with her many times too...you know, she’s very confused. She loves you, next thing you know, her feelings have changed. She panics because of the pressure you and Pacey put on her. She made her final choice...she chose Pacey.”

“But I love her!”

“I know Dawson...but Joey doesn't love you anymore. You’ve got to face it.”

“Well Dad, it hurts! It's hurts so much... I just can't believe it. I don't want to believe it...it's a nightmare.”

“I’m really sorry it didn’t work out.”

Joey runs towards the creek. She’s crying too... She loves Pacey but she doesn't want to lose her best friend. Now, it's 9:55. She has to meet Pacey at the creek and tell him about her decision.

“Hey Jo.”

“Hi Pacey.”

“Oh my God, have you been crying? Are you okay? What happened?”

“Nothing...” She sits down on the bench, and Pacey does too. “Well, I was in an argument with Dawson again... He discovered the note you gave me in our history class. You know, he still loves me...”

“Joey, you love him too.”

“Dawson knows my feelings. The good news for isn’t for him..”

“Well, for who then?”

“You Pacey... I love you so much! You are so cute, and you are the funniest guy I've ever met. Pacey, you have the most beautiful eyes and you are incredible, intelligent, and handsome! I love you!! Damnit Pacey, do you know that when I look in your eyes, I get lost? I can’t move. It’s like I’m stuck and I can’t look away. I love you. And you have such a beautiful smile, and your lips, well your lips, I want to kiss them all the time. That's why I wanted to see you tonight, to tell you this, to tell that I'm in love with you.” Pacey starts to smile and Joey does too. Joey starts to cry again, but now it's for a good reason. She loves him. SHE LOVES HIM!!! He can’t help it, he smiles at her.

“Say it again, Joey.”

“I love you! I'm in love with you, Pacey Witter!”

“I’ve been waiting to her those words for so long. Joey Potter, I love you too! You’re my life and I’m never going to let you go!” They smile. And then, he takes her face in his hands and kisses her gently. She kisses him back. It's a long and passionate kiss under the full rising moon.
