Recent Updates

7/02/99 -- Alright, for those of you who MISSED the Letterman interview... you MISSED it. Calista told off the press, and in a very nice attitude as well. *grin* No sarcasm here! She so eefectively said that they should "kiss her skinny white ass". Heh heh. I was rolling on the floor laughing so hard. If you want to see it, or re-live it on your computer, the SECOND part of the interview (the part that she says this line) is up for download in the movies section. This is the last update until after the 11th or later, so enjoy it!

Have a fun 4th all of you American visitors! And for the rest of you, have a fun summer or winter... heh heh. =) So complicated.

7/01/99 -- Okay, here we go... again, updates at LEAST at the beginning of each month. Well, this REALLY wasn't an update, but see, I'm going on vacation to Lake Huron from the third to the tenth. Yep, one week from this Saturday I am GONE. No updates, although I may pick up a thing or two that'll relate with Calista if I come by it. =) Been busy this week getting around and stuff. Tonight Calista will be on David Letterman -- check the News section for more on that. Now while I will make a movie clip for SURE, I may not be able to get it up until the 10th or 11th when I get back. Tomorrow we're FINALLY getting our new furniture shipped to us (WAYNE kept telling us it was on back order... been about 4 months since ordered), and I've got to finish getting everything around for this week long trip. Oh yeah, Gallery FOR SURE, will be up and running in the span of ONE WEEK of my return. sometime between July 11 and July 18, let me ASSURE you. Off note, I had my hair highlighted blond (Ooo... now I'm a REAL preppy boy now), and will take some pictures for the site. Heh heh. And maybe give you all (especialy Calista if she's READING) a little more information about myself. Not TOO much, but... enough to give you a general idea. Anyway, Image of the Month updated -- can't think of a poll theme, maybe something to do with Calista's play Bash? Any ideas, e-mail 'em to me, please. Alright, my sis is callin for lunch and I have to pack while looking at my new REALLY blond hair to get used to it. Heh heh =). Probably until the 11th, guys.

Oh yeah, as for my June 17th, "bitch-seesion" (sorry for the profanity, but, it was... you all know it, too *grin*), I've received some very nice e-mails from a few of you regarding that issue, supporting my concerns and some of you webmasters even shared that same concern with me. Thanks guys, it really gives me a sense that you kinda care... at least in the littlest sense. You're not obligated to, and I didn't ask for any e-mails about it, but thanks again. Made me feel special. Heh heh. =)

Alright... until a further date...

6/20/99 -- Alright! I'm back into the mainstream of things... I updated a bit today... fixed an error in the Quiz, added a link, updated the news, and created a new banner for this site. Ooooo! Let's all applaud! Anyway, I've got all of this crap done and over with and can focus on the Gallery again. Sorry about the ramble on the 17th -- I wasn't feeling too well. Anyway, this was a quickie update, and that's about all for now.

Caio (or whatever)!

6/17/99 -- Okay guys... this is a my fault. I dunno, I just haven't been very energetic about the site lately. I don't know why, I still love Calista Flockhart, and even though Ally McBeal isn't as great as it was, I'm still enjoying that too. I still buy the magazines, look for her on TV, and think of new things to do with the site -- and now that it's Summer Vaca, I don't see any reason why I shouldn't be updating... I actually tell myself I should be updating more frequently than usual. It's been over a month since the last update, and I am really starting to show disinterest in the page. My page's goal was to reach out to one amazing actress and let her know what she means to me, and get some acknowledgement from her about that... whether it be a "nice job", "I'm glad you appreciate my work", or any simple sign that she HAS seen this page... but this goal hasn't been reached. Okay, so it's only been a little over a year. OKAY, so Calista Flockhart has a life, and probably doesn't have a computer, let alone, the Net. But I can't help but feel bits of disinterest and lack of enthusiasm in the page. If I did, I'd have such a burning drive to work on the page more than ever, but since I haven't received such an acknowledgement, I've been dwindling on updates. I've been promising a gallery renovation for months now... I have movies stacked up on my hard-drive up the ying-yang, along with photos -- and I never get around to doing anything with them. I like getting the positive feedback I do, but its so few and far between. I want to update everyday because running the page is what I love to do. Running this page makes me feel special; unique. But I think I'm missing out on things. I'm only fourteen, and I spent most of the past year running a website that hasn't accomplished what it was set out to do -- and it's really got me down. Like as if no-one cares. Okay, I'm acting like "Woe is Ben... Let us all cry for him" and I do feel like I'm acting a little stupid, but who cares? This is my page.

I just realized something -- my site's "mission" has changed so much in the past year... it was first a page to bring people into a better view of Ally McBeal's star. Then it was a fun an informative multimedia experience to help people know Calista Flockhart a little bit better. Now most people know who she is, so it's my mission to get in touch with Calista -- but I think that mission is losing its point and value. This page is just photos, movies, and whatever else, not really a page about my feelings, but truthfully, who would care anyway? I slave on making it fun on a multimedia-level. No-one is asking me to, I know. Besides, I love to do it. I love getting people to tell me to hurry up with something, actually... it makes me know that my site is important to that person, and they rely on it for whatever they're asking me for. God forbid the day I treat the site too high-and-mighty to accept that. Okay, this has now turned into a full-fledged ramble instead of an update... but I figured you all may want to know why the hell the site hadn't been updated in so long. Well, I've been enjoying life. Been outside, and spending some time with my eight year-old sister. Taking time to watch movies I've never seen, build models I've never tried to build, tan *laughs*, and of course, do manual labor which is always a minus. I just finished my run through Catholic-schooling, and I needed to take a break from EVERYTHING. I'm sorry if you all were dissatisfied that I haven't done much lately, but I just needed a break -- for a while.

I'll be updating more frequently from now on. I can't let this go to waste...

PS-- I'll be on Vacation July 3-10, but I will make sure to update on the 1st of July before I leave

5/4/99-- Hey hey! I'm feeling a LOT better today... which is a REALLY good thing! :) I got to do some updating today - mainly in the News and Biogarpahy sections. I also added/changed the Getting In, Teling Lies in America, and the Birdcage reviews (located in the Biography). I've really got to make this quick as my parents need the phone. I'm still writing the gallery code and categorizing photosand the like. I'm doing this in between about 4 school end-of-the-term papers *SIGH*, so please be patient. Also, if you want to support this site, you can vote for it! More news about that in the News section.

5/3/99-- Hey there, faithful folowing! *g* Well, I was home sick from school today (ugghhhh....), and really wished I could've started on my gallery, but I had some... BAD problems going on... in my stomach - some that I'm sure you wouldn't care to visualize. :) But I did manage to update the index page (woah, man... I can't believe it still said "I just got the frames page to work..." *laughs*) Well, that's me for ya.

That was short n' sweet, and I intended it to be that way as just LOOKING at this screen doesn't make me feel very good...

Until later,

5/2/99-- I put up two new movies... and have a (boring) story about the 20/20 one..

Well, I ORIGINALLY encoded it at a 100kb quality, so there was MUCH better picture, but the REALLY annoying Geocities would NOT upload the 6.5 MB file. So, I RE-ENCODED it at the next lowest speed, and the picture is quite a bit worse... sorry guys! :( But at least it's uploaded for you all to see!

Gonna re-do the poll soon... way to busy. I'm also ALMOST done writing the HTML codes for the gallery, then I'll have to organize the photos and such... hopefully I'll put it all up this (following) weekend!

5/1/99-- I really wanted to get what I just got done done yesterday (or the 29th... if you were wondering why it said it was last updated then, but nothing changed, it's because the framemain.html file WOULDN'T SAVE. I had already uploaded the image, though, so it stayed). So, I have the Midsummer page updated - as for that I REALLY WANNA KNOW WHY THEY PUSHED IT BACK ONE WEEK!!! "Midsummer" was going to be my FIRST movie that I've EVER seen OPENING DAY, but they pushed the release to the 14th! And I'm in CHICAGO the 14th! Grrrr...

I also added a NEWS section, and a lot of the information is courtesy of Arthur Tham and his Ally McBeal Page. (If you're wondering why the image advertising his site was removed, it's because I ran out of space for all of the magazine covers! I'll put it back up after this week is over, though). I just thought I should let everyone know what Calista is up to... not just add a bunch of pictures (as for pictures, I'm writing the gallery codes now!). So check it out - I have articles on news there that I wrote, but all of the information is borrowed. Just look it over people, and let me know what you think! :)

I'll TRY to get THREE movie clips up tonight -- one being Calista's 10 minute 20/20 interview!!! Hopefully, I'll be able to. I also updated the Image of the Month, and I won an award!!! I'll put it on the front page in a bit....

Well, I've gotta go.. it's my sis's First Communion today, and I have to entertain guests (GOD I spent a LOT of time cleaning yesterday for this party!! All day, actually)

4/23/99-- So I didn't get everything done that was mentioned on the front page last night, and I have a GOOD reason: I was booted. My dad kicked me off hte computer, and Netscape had an error RIGHT when I was finished editing the Midsummer page before saving, of course. But now it's DONE and we can all be happy. The new movie clip was also added. Oh, and BUY the George magazine - there're some nice photos in it - Along with a great article of course. Not much else new-- I'll try to update the gallery over the weekend, but if I do the gallery will be temporarily shut down as I'll be messing around with URLS and the gallery'd be better shut down rather than a lot of broken links. If I do it WILL be up by Monday. But no matter when I do it, It'll be done on a weekend.

That's all for now! Oh yeah, the Redwings WON!! Go Redwings! =)

4/19/99-- Okay, there is one huge topic of interest I would like to get out of the way as soon as possible: THE QUIZ HAS FINALLY BEEN UPDATED!!! Yes, that deadly, evil quiz that has been the same for over a year has finally been updated, and it's much more Calista, instead of Ally, related, and I advise you all to check it out! You need javascript though...

I also added a very interesting article on the Anorexia/Calista stuff, but it's doesn't focus so much on Calista, but the disease itself, and how this crude type of using the term affect the real anorexics. I thought it was a good article--as someone finally looked at all of this and said "Hey, this is a wrong thing to do, and the people should be aware of it." Anyway, I advise you to read the article. You should tell which one it is by the "NEW!" logo spinning next to it.

I have a new movie to add, and I MAY get around to updating the Midsummer sub-section tonight, but if not (and I don't think I will) I will later. If I do, I'll state so on the main page, but I won't re-update this section. I've got to get that done, hopefully by the end of the week. I want to prepare you all for the story without really giving it away. It looks really good, though, and I hope you all go to see it! Heck, I'm 14 and I am... None of my friend's would EVER go to a movie about Shakespeare, let alone one that doesn't include a teen-idol of some sort or a one-dimensional plotline that you see in "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer". I just guess I'm... unique. =)
