NEW YORK, September 10, 1998 - What you've been told is a lie, the history books have it all wrong. On October 7, all will be revealed during the new episode of "South Park," and chronicled on "Chef Aid: The South Park Album," in stores October 20. When "South Park's" Chef (Isaac Hayes) winds up on the wrong side of a bad legal judgement and suffers financially, Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny discover Chef is more than just the sultan of soul food, but is also the creative force behind some of the most important moments in musical history. To help their friend, the people of South Park organize "Chef Aid," a benefit concert that becomes the music event of the decade. As word of Chef's plight spreads to the music industry, Master P, Primus (providers of the "South Park" theme music), Tim McGraw, Devo and other top music acts flock to South Park to help the man that has meant so much to them, and the world. "Chef Aid: The South Park Album" is a compilation of the concert being released by American Recordings/Columbia Records. Executive producers for "Chef Aid: The South Park Album" are Trey Parker and Matt Stone with Rick Rubin as producer. Music from "Chef Aid: The South Park Album" will world premiere on COMEDY CENTRAL's website http://comedycentral.com on September 16.
