Lindstrom: Dr. Kevin Collins on Port Charles.
Jon Lindstrom joined the cast of "Port Charles" in June, 1997, as Dr. Kevin Collins, a character he began playing on "General Hospital" on June 10, 1992. Cerebral, moody and complex, Kevin has finally found the love of his life with the irreverent Lucy Coe. Together they triumphed over the demons of his past and now look forward to a brighter future. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Lindstrom was introduced to acting by his father, an advertising executive who also directed commercials. Lindstrom also studied music as a drummer, eventually attending the University of Oregon studying music and drama. Moving to Los Angeles, Lindstrom studied with many of the most prominent acting teachers, including Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler and others, while sustaining himself with bartending jobs. His first professional acting assignment, in fact, was playing a bartender in the ABC series, "Call to Glory." Lindstrom's additional TV credits include the Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker saga, "Fall From Grace"; and the movie for television, "The Alamo, Thirteen Days to Glory," with Alec Baldwin. Lindstrom also had a role on "Santa Barbara" from 1985-86. In feature films, Lindstrom was seen in "Point of Seduction" with Andrew Stevens and Morgan Fairchild; and "Listen to Me" with Roy Scheider and Kirk Cameron. A talented musician and drummer, Lindstrom has recorded an album, "Feel Free to Do So," with his group, The High Lonesome. An active athlete, Lindstrom is a skilled scuba diver, an avid skier and an expert in martial arts. Lindstrom also enjoys traveling, having backpacked through much of Europe and the United States.
