We then see Dawson and Pacey in Marine Biology.
Pacey is the only student to fail, and with a
great grade of 32%. He has to do an extra credit
project on snails with a sixth period student.
He agrees, and in walks the student, Joey. After
a quick set of negative comments they start
their project. While trying to breed snails.
Pacey gets creative and decides to put a male snail
with the two female snails(the guy's perfect
fantasy) trying to breed. Unfortunately female snails
can reproduce by themselves, and the male eats
both snails while being eaten. No more snails.
We now see Dawson and Mary Beth, and Jen and Cliff
at the carnival. They start playing a
game of trying to knock down the milk bottles.
Cliff wins first, and Dawson with his male ego
challenges him again. Dawson wins and when he
goes to give the prize to his Date, he
accidentally starts to give it to Jen. Mary Beth
runs off. Dawson goes and talks to her. Dawson
and Mary Beth talk and Dawson learns that she
likes Cliff and Dawson tells her that he only
asked out her to make Jen jealous. They work
out a plan....?!
Pacey and Joey go to catch snails in a local river.
They row out and start catching them. When
they go to where the boat is tied up, there is
no boat. Why, the boat is downstream of course.
They swim, in freezing water, back to the car.
Pacey says that they have to strip, wrap
themselves in blankets, and get warm. They start
to strip, and Pacey goes in the car to let Joey
undress. Pacey looks in the side mirror and watches
Joey change; why Pacey, you devil!
Dawson and the dating gang are in line at the
Ferris wheel. Dawson grabs Jen, and Mary Beth
grabs Cliff, saying they haven't talked that
much yet. Dawson and Jen talk, and he tells her the
truth, and asks her why she dumped him. They
get into a sort-of-a fight and Jen tells him she
doesn't know what's going on.
Dawson sees Pacey and Joey at the Carnival. Pacey
goes to talk with Dawson, and asks him if
it's ok if he asks Joey out. He says yes, changes
his mind in a daze, and changes it again back
to yes. When Pacey drops off Joey, he kisses
her, but she does not kiss back. She says she
does not like him that way. They both understand
that mixed signals were given and forget it
ever happened.
Dawson goes to the video store and tells Pacey
that he changed his mind, and does not want
Pacey to kiss Joey. Pacey says it's to late,
and gives Dawson a phony story, When Dawson
says he full of it, Pacey agrees. Then Pacey
asks Dawson the question we have all been
waiting for. "So Dawson, which one, the Blonde
or the Brunette?"
