When Joey tells Bessie about Paris, Bessie says
that she knows Dad will be happy when she
tells him. Joey asks "what?" Bessie tells her
that tomorrow is his birthday, and it is Joey's turn to
go up and visit him. She goes, but Dawson goes
with her. They miss the visiting time, so they
spend the night at a cheesy motel. Then they
go and talk to Joey's dad.
Joey leaves fast from anger towards her father.
Dawson stays and talks about what Joey's like
to her Dad. He seems to go into his own world
and talks about the things he likes about her.
When they return, Joey starts to ask why she
should not go to Paris. He can't answer, yet.
Jen goes to the hospital to find out that her
grandfather has had another stroke. She goes to
Dawson's house and asks if she can spend the
night like Joey does. He says yes. We then see
Pacey and Joey in Bessie's place. They start
to talk and Pacey tells Joey a story from his
childhood. Joey says that Pacey should
have a talk with his Dad and tell him that he hurt him.
Pacey asked if that's what she did with her Dad,
and she says no. But she says she is going to.
Pacey drives her up to the prison, with his fathers
"borrowed" car. The guard won't let them in.
Pacey talks to the guard, pays him $20, and everything
works out fine.
She goes to talk to him through an outside fence.
She says that he messed up, she's his
daughter, and he doesn't even know her. She asks
if he loves her, and he says yes, and that
he misses her. She says she feels that no one
loves her, but he says that's not true. He says
that Dawson loves her, and that she loves him.
She says yes. He tells her to tell him before she
makes the same mistake he did, and let someone
you love suffer. She then has to leave. Pacey
and Joey drive back, and the next mourning, Joey
rows over to tell Dawson how she feels about
him. She walks in to see him and Jen in bed,
as Jen is giving him a kiss on the cheek. He wakes
up to see Joey run out, and he begins to chase
her. As he leaves, Jen says goodbye Dawson.
Dawson runs all over town trying to find her.
Jen goes home to receive a phone call that her
grandfather has past away. While Dawson is looking
for Joey, we see Jen and her grandmother
going to church to pray.
When Dawson returns home, he finds her in his
closet. They talk and they say that they only
want to be honest. She asks him if he is ready
for everything that comes with being honest. She
says goodbye Dawson, and as she is walking towards
the window, Dawson runs to her and
kisses her. She replies in a long kiss. We then
see them through the shaded window kissing,
wildly.
